@ParaAndy90 Contact Leatherman as they have lifetime warranty. I sent back a multitool/knife to them for service/sharpen blade. They couldnโt get it back to original condition so sent a brand new multitool.
@aidensweeney8 I have seen people talking about it on the FB group โso you want to be a paramedicโ as a good route to getting onto a BSc in paramedic science, an equivalent would be a SWAP course in Scotland
@oli_m_sims Just to throw in an other option, have you looked at dual training? My wife started in EM and then around ST3-4 applied for an ICM number. It did extend her training, but in about 18months she will be a dual EM/ICM consultant. I also know of a dual acute medic with ICM as well.
@Tirvine1987 I can totally relate to this, I was very much in the same boat as yourself this time last year, but it does all come together, just keep working away and never become complacent.

@DaveLBywater@BCP1967@_ALSG_@DaveLBywater I might be interested depending on what date the course would be on. For some reason I canโt DM you as it doesnโt give me the option on your profile
Massive congratulations to @IslaCBlack on taking up the position of Scotland representative on the @ParamedicsUK student council. I can wait to introduce her to everyone and pass the baton on, exciting times ahead
Following motor vehicle collision all patients should be encouraged to self-extricate asap. If not possible, need to create minimum safe space for self/rescuer extrication w/o delay https://t.co/iXsRLOtYYy #FPHC2023
@yannusiaa Sounds like you are on track (if not ahead) with being a student and the confidence will come with time and practice.
Itโs a tough gig being a student para, at times itโs like working 3 jobs with uni, placement and a part time job, so donโt be too hard on yourself!
Defibrillation pad placement matters!
If you work in prehospital or hospital medicine, and may be responsible for defibrillating someone, here's some important take-aways from the DOSE-VF trial ๐งต

If you have not had a look at the new proposed HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance & Ethics and new Social Media Guidance. I would suggest you get involved with the consultation and have your voice heard! @GCUParamedicBSc@GCU_ECS@ParamedicsUK
Thread: I really encourage all HCPC registrants to respond to the current consultation on new Standards of Conduct, Performance & Ethics and new Social Media Guidance. There are some really problematic proposals in my view (1)
