Trump and Witkoff publicly sell a headline that sounds like progress “Phase Two” while quietly shifting the centre of gravity away from withdrawal, aid, and reconstruction, and onto a single permanent excuse: “disarmament.” This is not accidental framing. It is a deliberate pivot designed to stall every material obligation while manufacturing a condition that was never part of the original agreement.

▪️ Hamas’ position has been consistent, explicit, and public: weapons are a Palestinian national decision and will not be surrendered while israeli occupation persists. Washington says “they will.” Hamas says “we won’t.” That contradiction is not a misunderstanding. It is the mechanism. It creates an open-ended justification for delay, pressure, and punishment while pretending negotiations are still alive.

🔳 The second clip shows the next move in the same playbook: pre-emptive incitement and delegitimisation. As the US-backed technocratic committee is scheduled to enter Gaza, Hebrew media begins priming the public to treat its head as an enemy. Youth history is dredged up. Language is policed. Basic, factual statements calling israel a colonial entity, pointing to gas theft are reframed as security threats.

▪️ This is how “Phase Two” becomes time-delay tactics. You appoint a committee, then undermine it before it arrives. You manufacture “security concerns,” then claim the process cannot proceed or can only proceed under tighter israeli control. The committee becomes a prop, not a vehicle for governance.

🔳 Underneath the media theatre, the architecture remains unchanged. “Demilitarisation” is tied to withdrawal. Aid is tied to compliance. Movement is tied to monitoring. Sovereignty is replaced with inspection regimes, leverage mechanisms, and conditional relief. This is not transition. It is containment.

▪️ That is why the disarmament line is so useful. It can be invoked to justify throttling aid, delaying withdrawal, imposing inspections, and restoring israeli “freedom of action” even while Gaza remains under siege, under fire, and structurally starved.

🔳 And this is not theoretical. The mask slipped immediately. israeli military officials publicly recommended cutting humanitarian aid from the agreed 600 trucks per day down to 200, a third of what was promised. This was not leaked. It was published openly. Aid is no longer even framed as humanitarian. It is a lever. Food, medicine, fuel, and shelter are treated as bargaining chips the moment israel secured the return of its last captive.

🔳 Alongside this, plans are being discussed for what is cynically described as a “city” in Rafah. In practice, it is a fenced, surveilled zone under full israeli military control, with residents monitored at all times and movement tightly regulated. This is not reconstruction. It is incarceration by design. A prison camp rebranded as governance.

🟥 WHAT HAMAS HAS ACTUALLY SAID

🔳 Hamas has not said it is “heading toward disarmament.” It has said the opposite. Disarmament demands are rejected so long as occupation continues. Weapons are tied to national rights and self-determination. Any attempt to impose surrender from outside is illegitimate.

▪️ So when Trump and Witkoff say “they have no choice,” they are admitting something in plain sight. This is not negotiation. It is coercion, dressed up as diplomacy.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) is financially backed by Israel’s Mossad and Ministry of Defense, according to Israeli opposition politician Avigdor Lieberman.

The GHF was approved by the Israeli government to begin distributing food aid inside the Gaza Strip amid a series of controversies, resignations, and incidents—including the wounding of dozens of Palestinians after Israeli soldiers opened fire at an aid distribution site on May 28. On June 1, at least 31 people were killed and many more were wounded near a GHF distribution site in Rafah.

The organisation reportedly secured $100 million from an undisclosed donor, according to the Washington Post. Lieberman’s admission adds to evidence that the Israeli military is directly funding and managing the aid distribution infrastructure.

The program serves two purposes: distributing basic supplies, while forcing civilians still in northern Gaza to move into tightly controlled “sterile zones” in the south. One GHF planner reportedly warned these zones would be seen as “concentration camps” due to the use of biometric tracking and confinement.
