🚨 NEW - LABOUR’S SPENDING IS RUNNING BILLIONS ABOVE FORECAST

Britain borrowed £18.3 BILLION in August, up 19% in a year, the highest August outside the COVID year of 2020.

Since April, central government spending is £7.4bn ABOVE the OBR forecast, despite receipts coming in £1.1bn ABOVE forecast.

Overall borrowing: £8.1bn ABOVE forecast.

Debt: £2.99 TRILLION.

The revenues are coming in. The spending is overshooting the plan.
