We need £250k to save and restore our Colliery & 1/2 mile of track from Dilhorne. We also need volunteers to help with everything from creating a nature walk to restoring the old buildings and shafts. Visit https://t.co/KcqIhJGf6q
As in, fit in a Hornby drawbar and solder in the tender plug from a Hornby model so that the loco could run with a Hornby Castle tender. Maybe I could even use the boiler and cab from a Hornby Castle/Star. What do you think?
Okay, I have a plan. The Heljan 47xx 'Night Owls' have a reputation for being fragile and unreliable runners. So, here's my thinking. Could I possibly retrofit the model with Hornby components?
I have a whole bundle of spares for SALE here. This includes RTR loco body shells, RTR rolling stock, and 3D printed locos and faces. DM if interested in anything.
