@mybirthdaydate1@wiremxther Yup. Anyone who’s read that Jezebel Halloween story about the woman who discovered a guy living in her crawlspace for 2 months will side with the cockroaches.
@stonecold01mg@Brocklesnitch We (mid-40s) and They (my parents, mid 70s) both liked it. My mom “oh I’ll watch Glenn Powell in anything” — note: she was referring to his role as Fox McCloud in Super Mario Bros 2 which is also my 9yo’s favorite part of the movie. He liked when Fox said “sick.”
@gofastmotorcycl I’m just disappointed the top comment isn’t from the grandson of Wile-y Coyote’s original animator all “‘my grandparent’s car broke down at this intersection in 1947 which inspired him…”
@FredTaming Yup we have a utility/storage room with no Sheetrock. Skye has never been inside (she would disappear behind the walls and never be seen again.) but she will stand outside the door for an hour and howl to be let in.
@_parasocial My mom was doing Jenny Craig from like 1992-1996. She never ate the same dinner as the rest of us. I often had to make my own dinner between choir and play practice and she stocked up on Healthy Choice frozen meals for me. “Low fat” aka full of salt and sugar!
@FLCons It’s Carribee by Lenox! trying to figure out when my grandma would have gotten it, I think they got married around 1947. But they had to move to San Diego for my Grandpa’s Korean War deployment. I don’t know if she would have gotten it after they settled back in the Twin Cities
@JaySmithisokay My main takeaway is that I had that red and tan striped Ann Taylor Loft cardigan (literally saw it in the window, walked in and bought it that second because it was so cute) and I wish I knew what happened to it (lost in a move and/or in a box in a scary closet under the stairs)
@JenniferParke12@FLCons My parents got a set of Dansk teak-handled silverware as a wedding gift in 1972. My grandma used to come visit every June and would polish the silver servingware and then hand oil every piece of flatware. (This woman had an entirely white living room, all sofas and carpets)
@CBD42O I had to bodily remove this baby magpie from my garage because it was pooping on everything and its parent was screaming outside my son’s bedroom window at 9pm.
