@RuleBGB Here, here. I’m surprised that the BBC’s “News” programmes joined in with the rest of the low lives and had this non-news as its headline item at 6pm and 10pm.
@PhilipMcDermo@johnsuchet1 Where people at work are concerned, they choose they go to work. We make rules and regulations governing health and safety at work. Animals don’t have the choice and rely on us to ensure their safety. There are too many horses in this race and the fences are too high. End of…
@Eyeofthebeerho1@BBCBreakfast A reasonable argument on the surface… however, presumably, having the bull as some sort of permanent display will attract visitors. That in turn will generate some sort of revenue??
@LiamWalker_7 As merely booing is unlikely to be disruptive it’s about the only form of protest I’m in favour of. It the so called “direct action” protests that get my goat!
So why is it that Putin can say what he likes and we have to pussy foot around with “diplomatic” language whereby President Biden gets rebuked for telling it as it is?
@Billbrowder Surely if we say we WILL be imposing sanctions on more oligarchs and their families, and not doing it NOW, we are simply giving them time to get their money out of the country. Sanctions, what sanctions?
@dagodee @RichardEGrant …point being that most people would get away with it but probably would not choose to do so… but if you’re famous (again probably would choose not to do so) the consequences are so much higher.. damaged reputation/ career
@dagodee @RichardEGrant I don’t recognise you either. So, I don’t think it’s going to damage your reputation or career of that situation was to occur… unless you are famous but not so much that I’ve not heard of you.
@KateWilton1 I’m not quite a pensioner and voted to remain. I now find it hilarious that Tim Martin (boss of Wetherspoons who was always onTV advocating leave) now finds he’s having staffing and delivery problems with his pubs. Shot himself in the foot there!
@steve_a_j @CalvesARCC Similar thing happened to me some years ago. The company were getting rid of the entire middle management team. As IT manager I thought I was safe… but eventually it was my turn for redundancy. I went self employed & charged them 3 times my normal pay to train someone else.
