@supMitchh The hook is in the “come up” and struggle for gear imo. I’ve already got too many free higher tier sponsored kits than I’d like. As soon as the hunt for better gear becomes too easy and predictable, a massive part of the games appeal is lost.
@EmbarkBulletin An endgame “lose everything” activity/map. There should be a big seasonal event that you spend the season gearing up for. They binned their original vision of the game to make it an extraction. I think they could incorporate a version of that vision as a pinnacle activity.
@DeanTTraining The build of the one in my gym is disappointingly bad. Feels perfect at the top but at the bottom it’s too far down my chest and feels awkward on the shoulders. Ok for a high rep pump or warmup but loading it feels terrible. Flat Smith for me.
@clarityysix@the_abduco Watched a vid yesterday where they analysed the % of achievements/trophies and by far the biggest drop off in players came in that lull before Lvl 10 when had to wait for more priority contracts . Conclusion was that when people had to work out their own path, they fell off.
@markleathem85@LoochyTV This is what Arc is missing. I preferred Arc and thought was gonna be my next “forever” game but I didn’t realise how important endgame incentives are in keeping me engaged. Overall, Marathon is not as good as Arc imo, but it shits all over it in the one thing that matters to me.
@Adiofreak Does it get better after Aleph level? I’m somewhat enjoying it but kinda through gritted teeth so far and I heard somewhere it takes a while to get going. I’m just not sure if I’ve reached that point yet 🤣
@staycationtg Managed to convince a friend to try it next week, and he’s convinced a couple of his friends too. Let’s just hope onboarding is better. The hook needs to get em in first few hours.
