The biggest problem with current AI architecture — namely LLMs — isn’t whether it will replace humans, but how many resources and how much energy are needed to make it work. This is concerning as we begin hitting hardware and power capacity limits for producing and running GPUs.
As software engineer i see the trend of poeple think AI will replace entire Saas businesses overnight, good engineers understand how hard to mintain and build great software products and only time will tell, use this opportunity to buy cheap software stocks.
@shiri_shh I actually would do the opposite I think it’s extremely cheap stock and will bounce back, the product cannot be copied by AI and i dont use duolingo to do instant translation i love the product and i dont see ai translation replacing duo, time will tell.
But at the other hand i really understand why Trump did that, they finally understood the threat from china because who controls manufacturing controls the world, but honestly I thought its too late western society lost the ability to manufacture and its getting worse.
I think Trump tarriffs is really bad move, most of american high tech and profucts manfectured in east asia, i dont buy that the American factories can easily replace the Chinese ones and US society dont have the manfacturing skills and culture and will never have.
The next big thing for AI is enabling small game development studios to compete with big studios as they dont need huge budget to generate arts and open worlds this gone be very exciting .
