I get that the man owns the platform, he can do what he likes, this is a “first world problem” etc. etc. Well I say that having a single loose cannon at the helm of a social network is unhealthy, so I’m off. I hope to find you all on Mastodon (when I figure it out 😂).

Hate being a moaner, but I’ve gone from “Musk ambivalent” to full on hatred. Tweetbot’s access got shut down. So I bought Fenix. Guess what? Yup, also now blocked. It’s the final straw for me, I’m off to Mastodon. Yes I’m acting “entitled” but the current situation isn’t healthy.

I fear that my Twitter journey may be drawing to a close. For as long as I've used Twitter, my experience has been tied to a third-party client - @tweetbot Unfortunately, Twitter has blocked this and other clients. Can't / won't use the official app, so this may be it, sadly.

Still reorganising my office to make more of my retro kit accessible, and reached my Amstrad shelves. I don’t make much hoo-ha about my CPC6128 but I absolutely adore it. I don’t understand why it’s so underrated!

This reads like a by-the-numbers mailchimp from Speedy Clutch. Yet another (unwanted) way to do voice calling and, well, Topics (!?) you know, I’m starting to think that Elon Musk isn’t smarter than Einstein after all. 🤔

@lostretrotapes I was the same, but with the 6128. The big hitters for us were Tau Ceti and Jet Set Willy. It’s such a well realised machine (largely down to Locomotive’s excellent BASIC) and a reliability champion amongst my old battlers.

I see that the “No offers, I know what I’ve got” brigade are out in force on FB Marketplace post-Christmas. If both my kids didn’t have their birthdays in Jan, it’d be the one month of the year I feel flush!
