@seutendeern And I think it's this small moment in 4.2 that really makes the Evelyn moment in 4.4 well earned, and then the late night whisky in 4.5. I love Sam describing it as Siegfried having to love James quietly. God I love this show & this cast, they just get it. #ACGAS

#ACGAS has always shown that patience is a virtue. Waiting till 3.5 to introduce Edward gave us a beautiful episode about parenthood & holding off on Tristan's war experience gave us that heart wrenching church scene in 6.6.

I also quite like that usurped expectations by not having Siegfried and Tris bond over war stories. #acgas

@seutendeern And with Tristan's absence it gives space for James and Siegfried's relationship to grow. I love James making fun of Siegfried when he asks J for money, instead of giving him a look that says, I am your boss you know, S gives a much more playful look of, why you little so and so

@seutendeern In fact that whole episode is comedy gold as I've just remembered the ending with everyone from The Drovers watching the ferret surgery as Siegfried gives a lecture 😂 #ACGAS

@seutendeern And they still balanced it perfectly with humour & light heartedness. 4.2 has some of best comedic moments of the show. J&H in the background of shots when Miss Hardbottle arrives, all of Audrey's faces and Sam & Neve are brilliant together, "Have you tried the jam?"

@seutendeern I also think S4 was #ACGAS being brave and flexing it's muscles, having Tristan absent for the whole season, and then an episode without James, it helped the show reach a new level, it showed just how strong of a series it is.

@seutendeern And imo season 4 is one of the best seasons because that patience, and building of relationships, pay offs with some beautiful moments, like Siegfried talking about Evelyn for the first time. That vulnerability from him felt well earned #ACGAS
