A dad geeking out over movies (and some tv and games) with his small kids, enjoying their experiences and panicking about if they’re seeing the right things. 🎥

@AnothermillennR I am@not concerned. Not that I don’t think it’s in trouble. But more I think it’ll be fun to watch it collapse and we get actual films being made again.
@Todd_Spence Red Dwarf. Totally captures the joy of the show and is just an awesome guitar riff. This song is such a Friday feeling. Even tho it was on Thursdays. Just go with it. https://t.co/rydp0OXwSS

#backtothefuture, they kept telling me they didn’t want to watch it for the first half hour but once Doc started being silly they enjoyed it. Any live action interest is a win. Qotd:”why do the doors open up?” No one knows, son, no one knows.
@DrummerFromFife If I let them they would just watch the same two or three movies over and over again. It’s sometimes a struggle to get them to watch something new. Especially live actions.
1986, When I was 6 years old I watched a movie called #BackToTheFuture which blew my mind and made me fall in love with movies. Almost 40 years later, my son is 5 yo, daughter 8yo, and I get to give them the same experience. Good movies are timeless. Excellent movies time travel
Didn’t think I’d be so emotional but huge thanks to @realmikefox, @DocBrownLloyd and everyone for @BacktotheFuture. I struggle to think of another movie franchise that has brought so much joy across generations since something really must be done about the kids. They need movies

#TheSantaClause was alright. Nothing fantastic for the kids but 7 yo liked it. 4 yo kept complaining during the family bits but loved it when Santa was on the screen. Despite the constant talk about not believing in Santa the kids didn’t touch on it. An ok film.
#MitchellsVsMachines A hilarious and seriously heartfelt film. The kids lost interest at the longer emotional scenes but the action and comedy kept them hooked. “Pig - dog!” Will now be a familiar chant around the home. Definitely recommended. No scary parts.
I don’t remember the first across being good but this was hysterical. There were plenty of sly observational humour and dumb slapstick that everyone loved it. We even had a dance to the end titles we were so hyped. #TheCroodsANewAge
