Here is the problem with physicians' salaries. Everyone looks at the six-figure salaries and thinks we are complaining for no reason.

However, the real story is that to get to that six-figure salary, you have to take on $200-300,000 in debt and not make any real salary until you are 32-33.

Compare that to someone who graduates from college, begins working, and fully funds a 401K and/or a Roth.

They have an additional ten years of compounding interest and will be much better off.

Then some learn a trade, have no debt, and enter the workforce in their teen years. If they start a company, build it up, and sell out to PE, they are set.
