I agree with you, so it’s not all Americans. I voted straight Republican and was shocked to see Texas lose so badly. Even our Governor lost. And I’m not sure how to correct it or what people believe anymore. And Michigan used to be the Texas of the north in my opinion. A lot of people there were very conservative and gun happy, so I have no clue what happened. But I’ll speculate what I think is going on. Many Americans are short-sighted and just see high gas and food prices. They want change and don’t consider what comes with voting Democratic. Many people don’t vote about ideology, but just about the bottom line financially. I think many of them write off the culture issues as not important or think it’s all a bunch of hype. I think there are those who are just naive too and believe what the Democrats are selling them. You also have a large contingent of brainwashed liberals who siphon off the liberal echo chambers in social media and legacy media.
But how do we change it? Do you honestly think my father in law, who is a die hard Democrat ( though he claims to be an independent) and suffers from TDS is even going to watch the first 5 seconds of your video? He won’t. He is glued to CNN, CBS, and all the other leftist media stations. He watches Steven Colbert and the like. There’s just no conceivable way of getting through to a man like that. And when you do engage he’s armed with tons of leftist talking points and factoids and he sounds very self-assured. Like these people just can’t think critically for themselves! Do we recall the “mostly peaceful protests “ on TV with images of burning cars and looting during George Floyd? No matter what you tell them or show them they believe that conservatives are ass-backward and ignorant evil people. Although I applaud your efforts, I doubt very seriously any brainwashed liberal will heed your warnings. And perhaps we will go the way of Europe. I’m sure you know people like this in your own country who ignore the fact that London is burning and say things like “Ah, such a lovely day for a barbecue!” This is a result of years (generations) of leftist indoctrination in the education system and culture in general. I think we will have to go through the storm before people like my father in law will finally awaken, but by then it will be too late. And I seriously doubt any of them will take accountability for their stupid votes and beliefs when it finally dawns on them that they are partially responsible for the downfall of western civilization. Like the dumb French woman standing out front and pleading with the looters of her store “I’m on your side!” Only to then be ok with it. Quite the diatribe on my part. I’m just so frustrated and can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s so large that I can’t quite understand it myself or articulate it. But I have a deep feeling about it all. Essentially I don’t understand how I see things so clearly while these people are just unaware.
@jasonwhitlock According to Grok: “In recent presidential elections, a male-only electorate would produce substantially more red states—typically around 35–38 out of 50—than the actual results.”
Women have had a huge influence in pulling the country to the left.
@marygrace As much as I’d like to believe that the Democrats won by cheating, I doubt it. The Republicans lost a lot of votes by not addressing the average American struggling financially.
Life is definitely hard for many of us right now with little hope of the future. Trump gave us hope in 2024, and I think that’s why many independents voted for him. But in 2026, many became disillusioned and put their hope in the Democrats. We shall see if life gets better for the average American. I still support Trump for ideological reasons, and I don’t trust that the Democrats will make my situation any better. But we shall see. For now, don’t expect anyone to come save you. Become more self-reliant and look at what you can do. Be willing to work more hours and reduce the luxuries, like Jack In The Box. This world is so different than the one I grew up in where a meal was $5 at McDonald’s. It has become a luxury for me too. It’s absurd, but life goes on. You can either let it destroy you or look at what you can do to make it better for yourself. I became disillusioned after voting for Obama in his first election. Back then things were tough too and I thought he was going to save us. Well we see how that played out. Thinking socialism is going to save us will just give DC more power, and so I don’t think that is the way either. I think the MAGA movement showed us that the American people can choose the best candidates for a job and things will still serve the special interests in Washington. All they did was delay the inevitable. Once the Democrats take control in 2028 they will go right back to what Biden was doing and all the woke crap and censorship will start again. I don’t think the MAGA movement will ever die, but it will burn in the hearts of the minority as embers of the once great Republic that was America. I’m 53 and can remember when life was good. My son will never have that memory. And people born after 9/11 will never have that memory. They have nothing to compare today to yesterday. They will be easily captured by platitudes of a better life under socialism. Anyhow, I can let the stark reality of the Democrats gaing power derail me today, or I can choose to stay the course and be optimistic about the future. Pessimism will put me in a rut. There is literally nothing I can do about the results last night, but I can do something about my situation today. Grieve and get on with it. Move forward. I don’t expect anyone to come save me and that’s how I can be better equipped to deal with life. My son comes first and being there for him is my top priority. Worrying about the economy or who’s in office doesn’t serve me well today. Yes, I notice. But complaining about it won’t serve me or my son well. Like it just is. This is my reality and I have to do the best I can with the cards I’m dealt. Wake up America! You are not promised anything anymore. No one is coming to save you.
The Texas state house and senate are still red, so they can’t push through a progressive agenda…yet. We lost many of the swing voters this round. Paxton was a crappy candidate. No charisma at all and had a lot of baggage. I still voted for him, but for many voters, they needed more of a reason than him being just a Republican.
@MurrayHillGuy1 She didn’t vibe with him is all. Looks are not as important to women, but it’s all in how you make them feel. So I think the chemistry was just off.
@pena4ATX I’m sure he would if he knew about you. He only has so many things come across his desk daily. I voted for you already so hopefully we can make Austin better.
Hail to the Redskins! Hail victory! Braves on the warpath! Fight for ole DC!
I used to sing that as a kid and the Redskins became a part of my identity. When some liberals whined and had the team change its identity, I lost a part of mine. It hasn’t been the same since. The left destroys everything it touches and then moves on to the next thing to destroy.
@DavidJHarrisJr The reason this stuff happens is because there’s never any consequences and our culture has just degraded to barbarism. Bring God back and bring justice back. Send a message.
Man I grew up in PG county and no good news ever comes from the area. Anyhow, I think you’re right about having tougher penalties for kids. Parents and the system has just done away with spanking and hard discipline. The kids essentially have an ego or pride problem and need to be humbled. I really think public flogging for bad behavior and other things like that to embarrass these kids is a way to curb it. Sounds harsh but other countries do this kind of stuff. Like America just can’t stomach some hard discipline. Lack of fathers and lack of consequences for bad behavior is a big part of the reason why we have this stuff happening.
