I left Accra this evening for the United Kingdom to attend a symposium at the @BlavatnikSchool, @UniofOxford to celebrate the career of Professor Paul Collier a globally renowned economist.
While at Oxford, I shall participate in other activities and return to Ghana at the weekend, God willing.
Following his resounding victory in the just concluded Presidential Primaries, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was officially declared the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for the 2028 General Elections at the party’s headquarters.
The atmosphere was electrifying and reflected a renewed sense of unity, purpose, and togetherness within the party. It was a clear signal that the call for unity has been heeded, and that party faithful are ready and committed to rebuilding and returning the New Patriotic Party to power in 2028.
Congratulations once again to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

I was at the Manhyia Palace today to celebrate the first Akwasidae of the year with Asanteman, and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
It was a beautiful and colourful ceremony that once again highlighted the richness and elegance of Asante culture. The Royal Ladies of the Ghana Police Service also mounted an impressive display, adding grace to the occasion.

Akwasidae is a sacred and ceremonial festival of the Asante people, observed every six weeks on a Sunday within the Akan calendar. It is a moment when the Asantehene receives homage, honours our ancestors, performs time-honoured rites for spiritual continuity, and reaffirms the unity, authority, and enduring legacy of Asanteman.
It was therefore a privilege to observe the first Akwasidae of the year with Asanteman and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.

The National Executive Council of the NPP facilitated the signing of a peace memorandum by all five candidates contesting the flagbearer position. This important step is to ensure that we remain one party, united behind the elephant and firmly committed to supporting whoever is chosen to lead.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the National Executive Council, the candidates, and all stakeholders of the Party whose collective efforts made this possible.

On Wednesday, 12th November, 2025, the Medical and Dental Council inducted 637 newly qualified practitioners into the profession, and it was a privilege to be present as members of my own family joined this noble calling.
The ceremony brought back cherished memories of my own induction and reaffirmed the honour and responsibility that come with serving humanity through medicine.

Earlier today, I joined H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the National Chief Imam, and others at the 13th Adua in honour of the late H.E. Aliu Mahama.
His call for discipline, especially on our roads, in our communities, and in public office, remains one of the most urgent principles Ghana needs today.
May his legacy continue to guide us toward a united, disciplined and purposeful nation.

Our nation has come this far because, despite our diversity, we have always found strength in coexistence and unity of purpose toward development.
Anyone who aspires to lead Ghana must be ready to uphold these values, embracing every part of our nation and every people as one.

In the last 10 months, I've been enjoying life, reflecting so much. I've been going around the country on a listening tour. I’ve been reconnecting to my roots. I've been establishing my foot on the ground. I've been mostly listening and reflecting. Doing a soul search on what the purpose is going forward.
