Gender-based violence affects lives in visible and hidden ways. Understand what it means, recognize the signs, and learn the facts. Awareness is the first step toward prevention and collective action.

At GSAI, we cannot agree more.
When women have equal access to opportunities, leadership, and resources, communities thrive, economies grow, and nations advance.
Economic inclusion is not an act of kindness; it is a strategic investment in Nigeria’s prosperity. And yet, millions of women remain locked out of the systems that shape their financial, social, and political realities.
This is why GSAI continues to push for reforms that remove structural barriers, expand access, and place women where their voices matter in boardrooms, in legislative spaces, in decision-making rooms, and in the heart of our national economy.
Because a nation that sidelines women is a nation that limits its own potential.
Inclusion builds stability.
Empowerment fuels innovation.
Representation drives growth.
Women’s economic power is Nigeria’s competitive advantage and unlocking it is not optional. It is essential.

#DigitalSafety
DAY 13 | 16 Days Activism
For many women & girls with disabilities, the internet becomes a second wound - mockery, fake accounts, cruel comments. Abuse has no excuse, online or offline. We owe them safety, dignity, & a digital space that heals, not harms

Yesterday, our CEO/Founder @epellejake, was honoured as a human rights defender by @NhrcNigeria, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to human rights promotion and activism in Nigeria.
Congratulations Sir!
Day 11 | 16 Days of Activism
We’re rewriting the internet — one where women & girls with disabilities log in safely, speak freely, & aren’t targets. Digital violence isn’t inevitable; it’s a choice we reject

Day 11 of 16 Days of Activism
Violence, online or offline, has no place in any girl’s life.
Today, we continue to advocate for safer spaces, stronger voices, and a world where girls can exist boldly without fear.
#16DaysOfActivism#EndGenderBasedViolence#DigitalSafety
Today, the world unites to honor the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of Persons with Disabilities and to reaffirm a global call that true progress cannot exist without inclusion.
At Gender Strategy Advancement International (GSAI), we believe that a society that excludes is a society that limits itself. Disability inclusion is not charity. It is justice, equity, and a fundamental requirement for building communities where everyone can thrive.
This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” challenges us to dismantle the barriers that silence voices, restrict mobility, and limit opportunity. It urges us to build systems where women, girls, and all persons with disabilities can access education, leadership, safety, digital spaces, and economic possibilities without discrimination.
For us at GSAI, this day is deeply personal.
We have seen firsthand the creativity, talent, and brilliance of women and girls with disabilities in advocacy spaces, creative hubs, leadership forums, and community engagements. Their voices are not just valid; they are vital to shaping a more inclusive Nigeria.
This must change.
GSAI reaffirms its commitment to:
•Advancing disability-inclusive policies and gender-responsive governance.
•Creating platforms where women and girls with disabilities are heard, seen, and represented.
•Strengthening advocacy for safe, accessible, and inclusive digital and physical environments.
•Building partnerships that support empowerment, visibility, and leadership development.
Inclusion builds stronger institutions.
Inclusion expands democracy.
Inclusion accelerates national progress.
Today, we celebrate the courage, creativity, and contributions of persons with disabilities and we commit to pushing for a Nigeria where inclusion is not an afterthought but a norm.
A society that includes everyone leaves no one behind.
A society that sees ability in everybody unlocks a future for all.
Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

In just 6 days, Parliament will vote on the Reserved Seats for Women Bill (HB1349); a decision that will define whether Nigeria chooses progress or paralysis, inclusion or inequality, democracy for all or democracy for a few.
For decades, Nigerian women have stood at the frontlines of nation-building yet remain only 3.8% of our National Assembly.
This is not a representation.
This is erasure.
But now, for the first time in our history, the door is opening.
The Reserved Seats Bill is not a favor.
It is not charity.
It is justice.
It is the correction of a broken system that has held women back for generations.
And in 6 days, lawmakers will choose:
Will Nigeria continue ranking 178 out of 182 countries in women’s political representation?
Or will we finally rise with courage, fairness, and vision into a democracy where every voice counts?
GSAI calls on all allies, institutions, communities, and citizens:
The countdown is more than numbers.
It is a heartbeat.
It is history calling.
6 days to change the future.
6 days to correct decades of exclusion.
6 days to make democracy whole.
Nigeria, the world is watching.

On 9th December 2025, Parliamentarians will cast a historic vote on the Reserved Seats for Women Bill (HB1349): a vote that will determine whether Nigeria chooses progress, inclusion, and democratic balance, or continues a legacy of exclusion that has silenced half the population for decades.
This is more than legislation.
It is a correction of history, a strategic pathway to equity, and a bold step toward a democracy where women are not guests in governance but rightful leaders at the table.
For too long, Nigerian women have carried the weight of a system not built for them — yet they continue to lead, serve, inspire, build, and transform communities. HB1349 finally gives Nigeria the chance to reflect that truth in its political structure.
This is the moment.
This is the mandate.
This is the movement.
GSAI calls on all parliamentarians to vote YES
for representation,
for progress,
for justice,
for Nigeria.
Because when women rise, nations rise.
And when democracy includes all voices, it finally begins to work for all.

Day 7: Silence isn’t safety.
Many women & girls - especially those with disabilities - stay quiet out of fear. Digital abuse shows up as threats, monitoring, or exclusion, & silence empowers abusers
Listen. Believe. Support survivors
