This mother got a call to school because the HISTORY teacher kicked out her son for having a Gadsden flag patch on his backpack because it represented slavery 🤨..
The mom had to inform the teacher that was not true.. it is a symbol of fighting oppression, fighting for freedom, and was the battle cry for the Revolutionary war .
Can you imagine a History teacher not knowing this ?
I knew there was a systemic problem with some modern day teachers but I had no idea it was this bad.

Persecution of James Orr

-James followed school policy and warned students they should not leave school grounds. He is being punished.

-Kim, Mike, city councilor Courtney Allen, and many other public officials violated school policy & encouraged the middle schoolers & higher schoolers to walk off the premise to protest on behalf of the budget they wanted.

-Some students never returned to school, others went to McDonalds, police officers were pulled from duty to supervise(though later left), and parents were never given permission slips.

*Kim Liscomb(Principle), Mike Tracey(Superintendent), & Martha Witham(Chair) are the three going after James Orr.

**Despite breaking their own school policy & never enforcing any disciplinary action on students(which they told parents they would) - James Orr is the one who will face consequences for attempting to keep children on school grounds.

I’ll share some reporting on Troy Jackson @TheMaineWire has done in the past.

First up: He copped to mortgage fraud after we exposed a lawsuit he filed against an older Maine couple. He lied to obtain an FHA mortgage from a house in Augusta. These loans are reserved for low income people and come with lower interest rates, but you have to agree to make the house your primary residence. The problem for ole Troy was that he swore on a financial instrument, initialing every page, that his primary residence was 230 miles away from his State Senate District in Allagash. Simultaneously, he’d sworn on multiple campaign finance documents his residence was not Augusta, but Allagash.

You see the Platner-esque clash of narratives here? The two mutually exclusive truths?

Jackson admitted to mortgage fraud to newspaper reporters, said he didn’t read the mortgage he signed. An ethics hearing ensued. Jackson reiterated over and over again that he lived in Allagash, not Augusta.

The ethics commission had no jurisdiction over mortgage fraud, thats federal crime. And they ended up not sanctioning Jackson. He claimed victory, but the ethics report that emerged is now a massive Exhibit A in any potential mortgage fraud case — the same exact kind brought against NY AG Letitia James.

He later sold the property to an Iraqi couple for a nice capital gain.
