@Cu132Gen It is our duty to continue to protect American interests at home and abroad. As I begin my new job in Japan I will keep an eye on the Korean peninsula for further developments. #2018CUAB
Something about the current set up in Korea makes me feel uneasy...Soviets in the north and Americans in the south...it just doesnβt sit right with me but I canβt put my finger on why... #2018CUAB
My time on Twitter is coming to an end but I would like to take the time to recognize all those who participated and thank all those who watched these events unfold in real time via twitter. #2018CUAB
Me and Emperor Hirohito. September 1945. I am now the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers. I look forward to guiding this island nation and its people towards a new light and brighter future. #2018CUAB
The United States has allowed Emperor Hirohito to remain. Whoever becomes Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces must be prepared to work diligently in order to rebuild Japan successfully. #2018CUAB
@HenryStim@ByrnningUPPP I agree Secretary Stimson. American negotiators must be able to see how vital the Japanese emperor is for an effective and peaceful transition of power. #2018CUAB
In order to make for a peaceful end to this war, the Japanese people need their emperor. I hope that those in charge of these negotiations are able to see how vital the emperor is for an effective transition of power. #2018CUAB
@PrezHTruman I am a Five Star General in the Pacific. I think it would be fair for me to know of any alternative plans of attack against Japan. #2018CUAB
I was never asked to advise on either of these dark decisions. With my insight, it would have been made clear that the Japanese would have gladly surrendered in May if we had told them they could keep their emperor. #2018CUAB
@Cu132Gen I am still in shock at the news General Marshall but I believe it is important to foster these conversations so our military can learn from them and be more prepared for the next great conflict. #2018CUAB
@FranckJmy A shameful day indeed, Mr. Franck. Especially coming from a military perspective, I am very disappointed because I see no justification for this act. #2018CUAB
Just as I predicted! Japan would have never accepted those conditions. Now, the war will carry on for who knows how much longer! More lives will be lost on both sides with this senseless and unnecessary fighting. #2018CUAB
