Being called a “bigot” by a random, or even an acquaintance, when you are simply trying to keep your family safe from certain death or grave harm doesn’t make the list, eg. (a) floods, (b) famines, (c) packs of wolves, (d) evil men with guns, or (e) any one of a thousand other deadly circumstances.

So, the next time some random accuses you like that, ask yourself, “If it was flooding right now, would this person help me survive?” If the answer is ‘no’ or ‘I can’t be sure’ then their opinion is meaningless.
