This is Isaac Newton’s kitchen, which he used in the 1660s. Here is another room, and look at his toilet too. Everything is remarkably well preserved.
I see so many similarities with the pots (Ite Ona) and wooden kitchens I grew up seeing in my village.
Tourists from all over the world come here almost every day to see these things, and we paid £15 each just to walk around and experience this history.
Nigeria destroys their own history.
Something was born inside me today.
Our time is near.
ISEE HQ in Enugu is getting ready. All five South-Eastern states will have their representative offices here.

So, when people leave the country in search of a better life, don’t be too quick to blame them.
Sometimes, people are simply searching for a society where their hard work can guarantee them a decent life and a better future for their children.
Our politicians have failed the people terribly. Their wickedness and selfishness have consequences.
I’m told that media will start reporting on a petition once it reaches 5000 signatures. And that’s when it can really take off. It’s been 2 days and we’re almost there!

In Iran, between 88% and 94% of the entire population is educated. In Saudi Arabia, 97.9% of the entire population is educated. In Iraq, 84.69% of the entire population is educated.
These are some of the top Islamic countries.
In short, they have higher basic literacy rates than the United States.
Why does such a significant educational gap exist in Northern Nigeria? And what is the basis for some of the extremist views about Western education in this part of the world?
We need to ask harder questions.
@HyacinthAlia When an evil man is in power, the people suffer.
Bible never fails to warn people about choosing bad leaders. Look at Benue today. Killings and IDP camps everywhere, yet a supposed nbr1 is commissioning rubbish. Benue deserves better in 2027
Southern Kaduna Worshippers: 5-months in Captivity
Amnesty International is deeply concerned that the 37 people abducted in raids on churches during Easter Sunday worship on 5 April 2026 are still in captivity. The incident which happened in Ariko community of Kachia LGA southern Kaduna state is just one of many instances demonstrating the utter failure of Nigerian authorities to protect the people.
Three of the 11 people abducted from Awon community have died in captivity this week. A woman Joy Samuel died on 28 August, after giving birth in a deplorable condition. The baby she delivered also died. Mr. Yusuf Bawa 34, and his 5-year-old son have also died as a result of severe illness and hunger. Deaths and severe illness these people are facing in captivity show the atrocities they are being subjected to.
While in captivity, the abducted persons are always repeatedly threatened to be killed, starved, women and girls raped, beaten and dehumanized in so many ways.
Recurring attacks, abductions for ransom, and killings are continuing to make life a hell in many parts of southern Kaduna. A climate of fear is affecting agricultural activities, education and other aspects of social lives of the people.
The Nigerian government must deliver on its national and international human rights obligations by immediately redoubling efforts to ensure the safe release and return of not only the 37 worshippers abducted in Kachia LGA, but also all people held captive by gunmen across Nigeria.
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in Nigeria (NAPPS) has petitioned WAEC over the glitch.
The goal now is to ditch WAEC and strengthen NECO. So Nigeria can gradually withdraw from WAEC exams entirely and focus on NECO, which is our national exam.
WAEC’s glitches are causing Nigerian students a lot of harm, and we can’t fold our hands anymore.
Today, our young stars built model houses to test their smart home systems. They built them from scratch.
No child has missed a single lesson, and everyone has been so deeply engaged.
This program has changed the lives of so many of our children within a week.
Quality education should be free and accessible to every child, regardless of their family background.
I am deeply saddened by the fire outbreak at Ede Plaza in Jabi Market, Abuja, beside Sandralia Hotel, in the early hours of today.
My heart goes out to the traders, artisans, workers, families and business owners whose goods, investments and livelihoods may have been affected by this unfortunate incident. For many of them, what has been lost is not simply merchandise; it represents years of savings, borrowing, sacrifice, hope and the determination to build a better life.
As a country, we cannot continue to lose businesses and livelihoods repeatedly to preventable disasters. Each time this happens, we gradually lose our productive capacity. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and when a trader loses a shop, we should understand that a family may lose its income, children may lose educational opportunities, workers may lose their jobs, and an entire community may suffer economic instability.
The true measure of development is the extent to which government projects and investments improve and protect the lives and livelihoods of its people.
As we grieve what has happened at Jabi Market, let us not wait for another market to burn before we act. Let this tragedy become a reason to strengthen our emergency-response systems, especially by ensuring that our fire service is properly equipped, adequately staffed and capable of responding swiftly to emergencies.
We must protect our small businesses and ensure that Abuja, and indeed Nigeria, becomes a safer place to live, work and invest.
May God comfort every person affected by this disaster, restore the livelihoods that have been lost, and grant our emergency responders the strength and wisdom required at this difficult moment.
A safer and more prosperous Nigeria is POssible. -PO
Celebrating My Eldest Brother at 75
Today, 30th August 2026, I celebrate my eldest brother, Dominic Ositadimma Obi, who turns 75. I celebrate him not merely because he is my elder brother or because of his age, but because he is an exemplary human being.
When I was Governor of Anambra State for eight years, he never came to my office or the Governor’s Lodge for a day seeking favours, as many might have expected. He is a planner and contractor who builds homes for people, yet not once did he ask me for a government contract.
Whenever we met, he would warmly embrace me and tell me that he was fine. He would then solemnly remind me to keep doing what I promised the people and never bring a bad name to the family and my community. He would tell me that whatever difficulties he was going through, many others were worse off, and that I should do my best for society.
I later came to understand that this was not peculiar to him alone. My family members had actually held a meeting and resolved that none of them would take advantage of my position as Governor. They decided that whatever good name I was building for the Obi family and Agulu must be protected. The same principle extended to my children.
Today, at 75, my beloved brother remains deeply concerned about Nigeria. Whenever we speak, he is full of prayers and good wishes. He constantly reminds me that if I have the opportunity to serve Nigeria, I should do so with honesty, integrity, and the interest of the people at heart.
Brother Dom, I thank God for the gift of your life and for the example you have set for our family. Your integrity, humility, contentment, and sense of responsibility are qualities worthy of celebration.
May God Almighty, who has graciously been with you all these years, grant you good health, His abundant grace, and blessings.
Happy 75th birthday, my dearest brother. -PO
Residents of Kuje area council FCT will continue to live in fear as no effort has been made by security agencies to hold the council chairman Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo to account, for threatening to unleash violence on anybody who would not vote for APC. His desperate attempt to make voting for APC as the sole condition for living peacefully and exercising civic rights in Kuje is unlawful.
Ahead of 2027 elections and beyond, it is essential that the Nigerian authorities ensure that any politician or other leaders, of any political party or grouping, responsible for carrying out or inciting or threatening politically, religiously or ethnically-motivated violence or human rights abuses must be held to account.
Amnesty International strongly condemns the chairman Kuje Area Council FCT Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo for threatening to chase out from the area anybody who will not join or vote for APC. Authoritatively saying that those who will not vote APC must leave Kuje area council is a call to violence and direct attack on freedom of association and liberty of persons.
No one has the right to make living in a place in Nigeria tied to joining or voting for one political party. The police and other security agencies must immediately halt this plan to use violence on people for their political choices.
The chairman Kuje Area Council FCT Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo is a danger to society and must be held to account for threatening violence on those who may not vote for
APC.
This plan to unleash violence on those who are not supporting APC in Kuje area council will have wider impact and will put lives at risk. People’s right to political choices must be respected and upheld.

Be accountable for once @PoliceNG, we will not let this matter slide.
A car belonging to one @RbrnJerry was stolen but later recovered by the police, the owner identified the car after the recovery and was requested to pay a particular sum of money which he paid.
Only at the time which he was supposed to take possession of the car, he was informed that the car had been sold by some police men right in the police station.
This matter deserves the attention it needs, we must not keep quiet at the face of this injustice.
Remember, today may be Mr. Oguji Jeremiah Onyebuchi, tomorrow it may be you or me.
Let's help a brother to get justice, this must not be allowed.
Repost, quote and tag the necessary authorities until justice is served.

I asked our young engineers to create a prototype technology that could fix election integrity in Nigeria.
The way it will work is simple: voters come to the polling station, tap their voter’s card on an electronic tablet or machine, and the political parties for that election appear. They then tap to select a party, and fingerprint or facial authentication takes place.
Once that is confirmed, the vote is recorded in real time and also sent to a live server where everyone in the country can see it in real time.
This will be done in Enugu by our stars within the next 2 weeks.
They will build both the software and hardware components.
I’m raising a generation that sees solutions to every problem instead of dwelling too much on complaining.
