On May 6, 2023, he was arrested in #Djibouti and transferred back to Ethiopia under murky circumstances.

His case demonstrates the risks that Ethiopian journalists face, even in exile.

Gobeze remains in pre-trial detention, facing terrorism charges. He should be freed unconditionally.
