Today, April 4th, we celebrate the Int. Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in #Mine Action.

For more than 20 years, Geneva Call has been working on new international instruments to prohibit the use of #landmines: more than 50 #ANSAs have signed our #DoC on this topic.

The dead must be respected. Whenever possible, fighting forces shall search for, collect and evacuate the dead without adverse distinction. Civilians may assist. The next of kin must be informed and may request the return of the remains.
