'Having cancer is scary enough, the worry of how to pay the bills is an extra level of fear people shouldn't be going through.'
People living with cancer are resorting to desperate measures to cope with the cost of living crisis - some even resorting to loan sharks.
Critical climate and health risks to discuss with Pacific leaders this week in Suva.
Thank you @FijiGovernment and @FijiRedCross for honouring us with such a special welcome.
The #Pacific has been at the frontlines of evolving climate crisis, dire health outcomes, inequality, and gender-based violence.🌀😷
Red Cross leaders in the Pacific are in #Fiji discussing some of the biggest challenges of one of the most disaster-prone regions in the world.
Thanks to our partner @LandRover for donating the iconic Defender 110 that was used in @007 NO TIME TO DIE to @christiesinc charity auction last night to mark #60YearsOfBond. It raised an incredible £189,000 which will help us to continue to be there for people in crisis.
We are united in our desire to drive abuse of all kinds out of the sport we love, and we're calling on the entire F1 family to join us
#DriveItOut. Together.
It's hard to miss the smiling faces of our 100 volunteers providing a front-line welcome and information at the #APMCDRR2022 conference where govts, the UN, international and regional orgs, and the #RedCross are meeting to accelerate disaster risk reduction. #SendaiFramework
An absolute privilege to lead a team of dedicated @BritishRedCross volunteers, supporting mourners in Westminster today. Thank you for your compassion and kindness - it was felt by many.
Over the last couple of days, our volunteers have been supporting the crowds, providing emotional support as the cortège travelled through Scotland, and in Edinburgh, along the Royal Mile, where thousands of people continue to share their condolences. ⬇
Over the last seven decades, Her Majesty The Queen showed enduring support for the work of the Red Cross here in the UK, and around the world.
Let's take a look at some special moments from her time as our Patron ⬇
Australian Red Cross shares the sadness of the people of Great Britain and the world at the passing overnight of Queen Elizabeth ll. We remember her support for our volunteers over her many visits to Australia, including this visit to Perth in 2011.
We are deeply saddened by the news that Her Majesty The Queen has died.
As our Patron for seventy years, Her Majesty showed enduring support for the work of the Red Cross here in the UK and around the world. Our deepest sympathies are with the @RoyalFamily.
Far from the spotlight and out of the headlines, humanitarians work around the clock to make our world a better place.
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, I salute their dedication and courage, and pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in pursuit of this noble cause.
Final leg kicked off last night on the Mundi Mundi plains at Mundi Mundi Bash. Thanks to @missyhiggins and her fantastic band for making the night even more memorable. It’s great to be back in One Country.
