The final homily and the final words of Fr. Timothy Barkley of the Antiochian Church. Given yesterday, Palm Sunday, 2026. You can hear how close he was to God in his voice. Memory eternal!
"…We have a choice. And it’s today that we have to choose. Right now we have to choose. And then we have to keep choosing [to love God] right now. If you are faithful right now, life will be good. You will serve God with your whole heart for the rest of your life. And so much of life is overwhelming if you look down the path… Look at Holy Week--it knocks you right on your back. But if you just look at the service right now, it can all be handled. Last night I looked at holy week and was shocked. But I do not need to do Holy Week. I just have to do Palm Sunday… One at a time. You don’t have to get through the rest of your life, you just need to get through right now. If you just get through right now, you’ll be fine the rest of your life. And if you’re fine for the rest of your life, and you develop communion with God, you will be fine for eternity. Glory to Jesus Christ. Amen."

@RealCandaceO@TaylorRMarshall Candace, my family and I admire you greatly. Would love to speak about this with you, as an eastern orthodox Christian priest. But I don’t want to say anything on here that will give the wrong impression or lead others to sin.
@JendersII I was in a similar position, fired from a Catholic seminary just a few weeks before the birth of our fourth child. Send me a DM if I can help in any other way. I’m an orthodox priest in your area.
