The UAE sponsors your favorite sports teams and games.
Meanwhile, it is directly fueling mass atrocities in #Sudan.

Blood on the Basketball: The @NBA and @WNBA are now one degree of separation from perhaps the worst case of racial violence and injustice in the world as a result of their branding deal with the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is accused of supporting a Sudanese militia that is committing some of the 21st century’s most heinous race- and ethnicity-based human rights crimes.
Our new op-ed urges the National Basketball Association to cut ties to the UAE amid allegations of support for the genocidal milita: https://t.co/nD3Zel9zBu
🚨BREAKING: Co-chairs of @TLHumanRights sent letters to @Disney@warnerbros@NBA@NFL urging them to reconsider business relationships with entities tied to the UAE, citing reports of the UAE’s involvement in supporting the RSF's genocide in #Sudan.

NEW: Colombian private military contractors, apparently hired by a United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based company, transited through UAE military bases before being deployed to Sudan to support the abusive Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
This is further evidence indicating that the UAE is assisting or otherwise substantially contributing to the Rapid Support Forces’ capacity to commit war crimes.

Thanks to HRW, we now know the UAE helped recruit mercenaries to help the genocidal RSF in Sudan.
This war has already killed 150,000+ people & displaced 12+ MILLION.
We must pass mine & @RepSaraJacobs bill to halt arms sales to the UAE until they stop fueling the RSF.

.@FIFAcom and @POPMARTGlobal recently released a new collaboration for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Pop Mart is the same company that @nytimes just confirmed sources cotton from the Uyghur Region, where the US government bans goods due to forced labor.
FIFA must not lend its global platform to a company contributing to and benefiting from Uyghur forced labor.

Following the recent @nytimes investigation linking Pop Mart's Labubu dolls to Uyghur forced labor, CFU Executive Director @RushanAbbas sat down with @JustTheNews to speak about the Uyghur genocide and the unjust imprisonment of her sister, Dr. Gulshan Abbas.
As Rushan put it, "Over 3 million Uyghur people were in concentration camps only because of the ethnicity they belong to, the language they speak, and the culture and religion that they live by."
