A great rant from a friend:
โI don't know who's running the British newspapers at the moment, but I reckon somebody's accidentally given the editorial jobs to a bunch of fucking doomsday preppers.
Have you seen the absolute state of the news lately?
World War Three. Nuclear Armageddon. Russian cyberattacks. Chinese hackers. Emergency survival kits. How to prepare for the end of civilisation.
Every bloody newspaper seems to be running the same story.
You'd think Vladimir Putin had been spotted at Dover services with a tank and a packed lunch.
And apparently, the most important thing we can do to prepare for all this is go shopping.
Seriously.
We're being advised to stockpile food, water, torches, batteries and enough toilet roll to survive the collapse of Western civilisation.
Do they genuinely believe we're all going to read these articles, leap off the sofa and charge down to Asda like there's a fucking trolley dash on?
I reckon somebody's looked at the Christmas retail figures and thought, "How can we get these bastards to spend another two hundred quid?"
"Tell them the Russians are coming."
"Brilliant. We'll shift those seventeen pallets of corned beef we've had sitting in the warehouse since Easter."
And what exactly am I supposed to do with all these emergency supplies if there's a nuclear attack?
Imagine it.
You're sitting in your living room, minding your own business, when suddenly there's an enormous flash outside.
The windows explode. The roof comes off. There's a nuclear shockwave tearing through the city, flattening everything in its path.
And there you are, crawling across the kitchen floor, desperately trying to get the fucking tin opener out of the drawer.
"QUICK! SOMEBODY GET THE BEANS!"
What fucking difference are beans going to make?
You're about to be vaporised at several thousand degrees. I don't think the nutritional benefits of baked beans are going to be particularly relevant.
But the politicians are the funniest part of all this.
Angela Rayner was asked what she'd be stockpiling.
Sauvignon Blanc and mascara.
Sauvignon Blanc and fucking mascara!
I love that.
The world's coming to an end, millions could die, civilisation might collapse, but Angela's making sure she's got a decent bottle of white and her eyelashes done.
Then Andy Burnham comes along telling people not to stockpile alcohol because they need to keep a clear head.
Well, thank Christ we've got that sorted.
One politician's preparing for the apocalypse like she's going to an all-inclusive resort in Tenerife, and another's telling everybody to drink responsibly.
And apparently Andy's emergency supplies include Twiglets.
Fucking Twiglets.
I mean, at what point did the national security discussion turn into everybody comparing what they've brought to a children's birthday party?
We're supposedly facing the possibility of World War Three, and our political leaders are having a conversation that wouldn't sound out of place in the middle aisle of Aldi.
And then there's the cyberattack warnings.
Apparently, Russia or China could launch a massive cyberattack and bring down our communications, electricity supplies and essential services.
Right.
And what am I supposed to do about that?
Unplug the kettle?
Put the laptop in a biscuit tin?
I can just imagine some highly trained Russian cyberwarfare specialist sitting in Moscow, surrounded by millions of pounds' worth of sophisticated computer equipment.
"Comrade, we have penetrated the British national infrastructure."
"Excellent. Shut down their electricity."
"We cannot, sir."
"Why not?"
"Some bastard in Ellesmere Port has wrapped his Virgin Media router in fucking Bacofoil."
It's a good job Churchill isn't around to witness this.
"We shall fight them on the beaches. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets. We shall never surrender."
"Unless we've run out of Pot Noodles, in which case we're absolutely fucked."
What a fucking pantomime.โ
I have always respected Tommy Robinson for his work on the rape gangs - he gave evidence to our inquiry, and it was remarkable to hear his level of knowledge. It contributed massively to our findings.
Tommy was fair and balanced. I learnt a lot.
He has not been treated fairly by our establishment for many years, and today is the latest example of that.
To be honest, I believe it is a disgrace.
He was right on the rape gangs. The state was wrong.
They want to vilify him for that.
The media, the justice system, Labour, the Tories, Farage. It was made very clear to me when I was in Reform that I was not to praise Tommy Robinson publicly. I did regardless.
The entire establishment is against him.
My view is this - he has done more than any politician to uncover the rape gangs, and for that I thank him.
@thenodeproject I believe the Fabian establishment is scared of the influence and support they have. They think by locking them both away it will silence the patriots of the UK.
The establishment are severely mistaken!
I have never ever voted in my life but what I can tell you is that I am voting Restore Britain because Rupert Lowe is the first and only real politician in my lifetime
He will make England Great Again!
Thank you for your attention to this matter.. ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฌ๐งโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Thanks so much for my lovely welcome everyone! And thank you to all my new followers. I am working overtime to follow you all back but the X app throws a error message after so many follow backs. But I promise I will get to you all! Keep fighting the good fight!
@grok@JustGrokingIt Haha - Toilet paper was exactly what I said many times over other posts.
Yes the good ole brits seem to shit themselves quite literally over events!
Either that or they need to fold and not scrunch - or their parents never shouted about not using 30 sheets per wipe ๐คฃ
I will join you. This will be the first time I will be voting for a political party I fully believe will make the country great again! My head will be high walking to the polling station!
Who wins if I vote Restore?
I do. I will win.
I will win my own respect. And then I will continue to do the correct thing.
Reform, conservatives, labour, greens, all of them differing levels of pro Islam and the invasion.
Only Restore are Pro UK.
For the first time in sixty years I will walk into a polling station and vote for something I actually believe inโnot the least-bad option among parties that have spent decades accommodating the 3rd world takeover of our streets, our institutions, and our future.
I will not again swallow my principles to prop up the same establishment that opened the gates and then called it โdiversity.โ
I will vote for the only party prepared to name the problem and reverse it. After that, the result is in Godโs hands.
This choice has never been offered before. I am not going to turn away from that option and vote to be replaced.
This is the choice. Either get off your knees and vote Restore Britain, or vote for your own replacement, possibly by machete.
I will vote for pro Britain.
@OpenSeasonUK@ABridgen ๐คฃ๐คฃ exactly this! Never mind food or water - because apparently in a countrywide event, brits must have enough bog roll that it almost seems brits crap their pants quite literally, or/ and have leaky arses ๐คฃ
@NotFarLeftAtAll Need more toilet roll! As you know - during covid it showed that most folk seemed to suffer liquid arse ! So all ran to the bog roll isle to punch it out over andrex filled trolleys. Whilst the sane folks had the pickings of the food and water! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
@g_e_0_d_e@BasilTheGreat We have to whittle our own and then be arrested on the way to conscription for having a offensive weapon -
Worst bit about that , is it would be funny if it wasnโt actually likely to happen
@thenodeproject This made me remember growing up near a nature reserve for red squirrels. It hits home remembering the hard work, and effort the people put in to keep greys out of the reserve.
Unfortunately I imagine the reserve is gone now as it was just volunteers that kept it going.
Common sense is to always have water and some tinned food.
Toilet roll, as you know what covid was like - suddenly everyone thought Covid would give them a leaky arse and bought huge stocks of bog roll!! ๐
Camping stove is always handy , even just for a emergency tea maker.
Just sensible stuff really. Not necessarily full on prepping but just some common sense as you never know whats on the horizon. Doesnโt need to be as much as making your mates think you suddenly started prepping for a Zombie apocalypse, but its always good to have some stuff just in case.
