Over the last couple years, I've been getting to know @HeyRosenberg and bonding over hockey first and Sports and betting generally. I've watched him and his partner grow @Handigraphs and turn it into one the best eval Stat sites. And all with character and integrity I can respect
“Disaster” is an insane and wildly inaccurate word choice.
New broadcasts always require tweaks and adjustments…that’s part of innovation and new ways of doing things.
Calling it a “disaster” isn’t analysis, it’s exaggeration.
We have got to stop making extreme negative takes the “cool,” viral, clickbait thing to default to.
It’s lazy.
You can dislike certain aspects of something without using insulting words towards consummate professionals on the desk, in the booth and in the production truck.
@JacketsDebrief@walsha So Allan, I encourage you to encourage every one of your clients to lobby the NHLPA for reform. Encourage every one of your associated agents, friends, rivals, enemies, whoever is an agent to do the same.
@JacketsDebrief@walsha And Agents are just as much a part of the public perception problems. They have a financial interest in seeing their clients' suspensions being as short as possible.
Kudos to McDavid for speaking out, but speaking out publicly does very little. He should be lobbying the union and his GM to rally around reform and collectively bargain it. The NHLPA and GMs have fought tooth and nail to limit the power of DOPS and the length of suspensions.
NHL DoPS head George Parros responding to Connor McDavid's call for an examination of the suspension process: “We sweat over these decisions and pour over these decisions every night, all season long. We have a process in place that’s consistent, and we have a team that works for me, and together with me, that evaluates all these plays. A very experienced team, a veteran team. Guys that have been there since the beginning of the department. Not to mention all the former players that have a large set of experiences playing NHL games, accolades. Some of the best guys that have played the game work for this department help make decisions. So, our process, I feel very confident in. We’ve got great guys who make these decisions, and I think the players should be confident in this team to do so.”
@Geraldini93 Oh man, I just watched Big Trouble In Little China last weekend with some friends. I didn't know that Raiden was based on one of the villains from that movie. I'm ready for this movie.
@aerominion Did you see the ESPN article talking about some other athletes that had been at least partly inspired by her come back to make their own? One snowboarder retired at 20. She's 31 now in the Olympics.
Yeah just watched the fights last night. @ScoutingTheRefs Can you explain the referee logic in giving Kucherov a misconduct and not giving Tkachuk one? Isn't Tkachuk's behavior the prime example for a Misconduct? Instead Kucherov, not the instigator, spends more time in the box?
