@amiiboAlerts That said, the current pricing and release cadence definitely need to give, somewhere.
These prices aren't moving figures and retailers dropping to clearance pricing wasn't good for the line back with the Animal Crossing set, and aren't good now.
@amiiboAlerts I think it's reasonable Mineru. Detective Pikachu was $30 when regular Amiibo were about half that. This one also is posable, like the Guardian. So, while it's still pricey, it's not $50+ like the Kirby Air Riders set.
@Toadsanime Add in the fact that, for me, board games are getting more of my time and money. They scratch an interest and creative fulfilment that videogames have not for me. Especially this current generation; the dev cycles are entirely too long to build out incredibly similar games.
@Toadsanime Once games jumped to $70+ (and still have paid DLC), I decided to play more of my backlog. So, now most of my purchases are when games 50% or more off and/or under $30. I don't play live service games, so there's no "urgency" to spend that much with everything going on.
@ProZD Despite expecting it, Iโm always disappointed how far Twitter has fallen. (Itโs not like the bar was that high to begin with!) Just keep succeeding and let the jagweeds stay mad. Iโll catch you around on your other channels.
Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition launches today on Nintendo Switch, and weโve partnered with @AspyrMedia to give away 10 copies!
Follow and retweet to enter. Winners will be selected tonight!
@AmiiboNews I initially didn't have strong opinions of the "DK redesign", but I'm not a fan of it here. Hopefully it's not another $40 one, otherwise I'll definitely pass.
@AmiiboNews I grabbed the Sages, sans Yunobo.
I figure it's better to have them preordered and I can change my mind rather than deciding I want them later and then they're not available.
@DirkVanDagger@SteamWorldGames The console/controller controls are very intuitive. I enjoyed what I played. Unfortunately, if you go with the console version, don't get it on Switch as they've abandoned plans for the Mechanized DLC for it.
@AutisticCoach_ Even traveling, a minimum of 3 - two for head, one for legs. Cannot sleep or get comfortable, otherwise. When I was single, I easily had a dozen or more and basically nested in them.
@LucianDivine@SteamWorldGames Unfortunately, no. When they announced it, the DLC was excluded on Switch. Others have reported that during a sales call, the Switch version's sales were "disappointing" which is the likely explanation for them abandoning the title on the platform.
Ironic that I learned about SteamWorld Heist 2 from today's @NintendoAmerica Indie World when @SteamWorldGames has abandoned Build on the same platform. Really wish I could be excited, but I'm going to have to wait to see if they do the same thing with DLC, now.
So, by happenstance, I found out that @SteamWorldGames released DLC for Build last week, but apparently on everything but Switch - which it's skipping altogether. I assumed DLC was coming and planned on getting it, but I guess this is it for me. ๐
@Toadsanime It's the same thing that happened years ago when WoW was big and everyone wanted to make an MMO.
A lot of studios went under during that time, especially when the "subscription to F2P" model didn't salvage a player base.
@GIVEPAUSEhobby @PatrickLeder I concur with this assessment. It looks great, but still feels a little flat. Something to brighten it up and contrast with a teeny bit of color/gold. Like when a puddle in the parking lot has that (unfortunate) oil sheen to it? ๐ค
