..on the bus to Vimy Ridge, when we crossed a certain point, our guide stood up and announced, “Welcome home, you are now on Canadian soil..”. 🇨🇦 We rode the rest of the way in silence and it was a moment I won’t forget..#LestWeForget#RemembranceDay
I’m not playing the social media slot machine anymore.
I’d rather put my content in places that actually pay out.
Forums, safelists, classifieds… yeah, the “ugly” stuff that still works.. for me.
Ever buy a steak and stretch it into 3 dinners?
That’s how content works too.
One idea = fajitas, stew, burgers, leftovers.
That’s how you get traffic without burning out.

Let’s not dance around it:
You’ve sent some terrible emails.
So have I.
Emails that looked great in your head…
...but hit the inbox like a lukewarm fart in church.
This week’s issue of The Email Anarchist

is one of the best (and biggest at 30 pages long) I’ve ever put out.
And I don’t say that lightly.
Get it.
@ElectionsCan_E FYI Just left a polling station that advised me I couldn’t vote without 2 pieces of ID. I had my DL (which is 100% accurate). The volunteer pointed to the instruction sheet (which said I only needed one piece of ID). They said I couldn’t vote without 2 pieces, so I had to go back to my car and use my car insurance as ID, which I did. Hmm..
Mindset without skillset doesn't pay the bills.
Don't avoid the fact that you need to learn how to DO the stuff in order to market a product or run your business.
Yes, your mindset is important, but you need to be operationally sound as well.
It's like writing sales copy without a call to action.
Email marketing works when YOU show up.
Are you sending daily and staying top of mind.. or letting your list forget who you are?
My experience: If you miss a day of emailing your list, it puts your audience back 3-5 days (they forget you).
Email. Every. Damn. Day.
Your list isn’t one-size-fits-all, so why treat is like it is..?
Are you speaking directly to the segments of your audience?
Or are you throwing out a generic message hoping it sticks?
Your email isn’t a broadcast.. it’s a conversation starter.
Are you inviting your subscribers to reply, share their thoughts, or take action?
Or are you just talking to yourself.. again.. ?
