It's been over a month now so...I'm delighted to announce that I joined the Department of Neurology at the University of Utah as a Research Analyst. I'll be working on the autonomic sequelae of traumatic brain injury, investigating how the (injured) brain and body interact.
It has been an absolute honour to work on this project and with such an amazing team of scientists, including @lorettaenorton, @MaratSlessarev, @DebickiDerek, Teneille Gofton (not on Twitter), and many others.

I am delighted to announce that I received my first cold-call application from a student wanting to work in my lab. Their research interests are not even remotely aligned with mine, they already have a Ph.D., and I do not have a lab. Friends, today, I became a real scientist.
