The Council has added £4m to reserves - not needed. I have asked that all or most of this should be used for grants to help people who need it. And say NOW that Council Tax will be cut or frozen in 2023. The Council can afford it
Who of the many Libdems who were absent from the Council meeting stayed away as they could not support the seizure of the Diamond Jubilee Gardens and the eviction of a Charitable Trust ?
Wonderful to be back in the Pavilion at Lords yesterday after nearly two years. The pitch looked excellent, the new Compton and Edrich stands attractive, a crowd of some 22,000 - and the match enjoyable. Bliss
Libdem Richmond Council discriminates ! By removing parking meters and requiring payment by smartphone it discriminates against the elderly:those who cannot afford a smartphone: those who have problems with technology. Blatant discrimination
My GLA leaflet from Gareth Roberts arrived yesterday. Nine mentions - and one photo - for Richmond MP Sarah Olney. Not a single mention of Twickenham MP Munira Wilson. So - she is a non-person
Vaccination to-day. Men to help with parking, a charming greeting at the door, a speedy sign-in and immediately to one of the six bays for instantaneous vaccination. All over in a few minutes: completed five minutes before my appointment time. Well done !

To-day I have required an Extraordinary meeting of Richmond Council to demand portaloos for Richmond and Twickenham Grrens. Public Health crisis - with urination and defecation on the Greens and in nearby gardens and garages. We need action NOW
Government praises Supermarket workers for their 'dedication'. Richmond Council gives 24-hour notice of end of parking concession to a small number of workers who have heeded advice to avoid public transport and drive to work.
A key difference. Boris empahsises 'commonsense'because Tories trust the people. Labour - authoritarian, Stalinist at times, -always wants the state to direct.
Excellent news from Mortlake Brewery. Fine staff at Richmond Park and Bushy Park open very day for exercise.. Some Golf Clubs opening their fairways so that people can just walk. And Kew ? A disgrace.
At my age I am delighted to see that the contestants for the USA Presidency are all in their late 70s and the Speaker of the House is 80. With a monarch of 93 this really is the time for the elderly to come into their own
