🚨🇨🇼 Curaçao are doing things differently at the World Cup.

While most national teams keep players isolated throughout the tournament, Curaçao have made family a priority. They are the ONLY team allowing players to share rooms with their partners and spend every day with their families.

The federation even covered the costs of relocating family members so they could stay with the squad for the entire competition.

Team medical officer Suzanne Huurman says the decision reflects Curaçao's culture: a warm, family-oriented nation where togetherness comes first.

In a tournament filled with pressure and expectations, Curaçao chose to make sure their players never feel alone. 🇨🇼❤️

The CCBE letter of 24 June 2026 raises serious questions about factual accuracy and due diligence.

Adv. Erias Lukwago was produced before a competent court on 19 June 2026 five days before the letter was issued. He was formally charged, made a bail application, and the court delivered its ruling in open proceedings.

By the time the letter was written, the matter was already actively before the judiciary. Demands for "clarification on the place of detention" and the "legal basis" of his custody were therefore overtaken by events and disconnected from the established court record.

Respect for the rule of law demands fidelity to facts, confidence in judicial processes, and restraint from premature external pronouncements that risk misrepresenting the legal position. The administration of justice must be guided by evidence and procedure, not assumptions.
