Schon rund 15 #Gätteopfer in unserer ukb-Rettungsstelle. Menschen mit Brüchen der Hand, der Füße, des Ellenbogens werden von Pflegefachpersonen im Gipsraum tatkräftig versorgt.

Hier die "Bilanz" des gestrigen Glättetags: Insgesamt wurden im ukb mehr als 30 Patient*innen mit Verletzungen durch Glätteunfälle versorgt - neben weiteren fast 200 Akutverletzten bzw.-Erkrankten in der Rettungsstelle. Viele davon mussten akut operiert werden.

@atmghn I would always first try to see whether reduction does the job by liagmentotaxis. If not and the patient had neurological deficits then decompression and reduction of the „spinal pilon fragment“ exactly as shown in your drawing

@Batbilli Die Studien zeigen dass wer bei OPs > 6h alle 4h eine Pause macht am Ende schneller ist und weniger Komplikationen hat. Klar gibt es Situationen, wo die OP es mal nicht zulässt. Aber es liegt in der Verantwortung des Operateurs, dass das Team Pausen macht. Alles andere ist 80er.

@KillenMd I disagree. There are tons of evidence that adhering to guidelines will result in a better outcome for most of your patients. There are some patients who will do better if you deviate from the guidelines, but you need to be able to explain why.
