@Min_of_IC in strategic partnership with @AEDS_ZW & @ZimTradeAlerts will host the inaugural Zimbabwe Industrialization Conference & Expo 2026, 23 -24 July 2026
This ZICE 2026 and subsequent ZICEs are effective platforms established to drive evidence based conversations on the state of industry and come up with stakeholders led solutions aimed at driving industrial transformation, elimination of imports which can be produced locally, foster value addition and export diversification.
This conference will focus on 10 thematic areas which inter alia include value addition and beneficiation, access to finance, market access, technology & AI, rural industrialization, local content, etc.
In all these thematic areas, we aim to come up with resolutions & working groups whose responsibility is to support the implementation of the resolutions and provide quarterly updates. This approach will ensure that these conferences will not be talk show.
Throughout his leadership, Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei used to highlight the high cost of depending on the West.

It’s a VERY GOOD thing to leave one’s village/country/city & try life elsewhere …
HOWEVER, if things don’t work out, we should have the courage to return home.
Some of the people repatriated in the past few days have been in South Africa for more than 10 years but couldn’t afford a bus ticket to Zimbabwe…
CAN WE SAY THEIR SITUATION IN SOUTH AFRICA was better than the situation of their peers in Zimbabwe??? Certainly not!
South Africa is MUCH MORE DEVELOPED than Zimbabwe & has a bigger economy BUT there are limited opportunities especially for those with low level skills… the number of VERY POOR PEOPLE in South Africa exceeds the entire population of Zimbabwe. The odds are HEAVILY AGAINST immigrants, more so those with without CRITICAL SKILLS.
Add to that, anyone without a CRITICAL SKILL will certainly not get a Work Visa… It’s only a few Zimbabweans & Lesotho citizens who were LUCKY ENOUGH to get the ZEP/LEP Permits which didn’t have stringent requirements. Everyone else without critical skills has almost a ZERO CHANCE of getting a Work Visa in South Africa.
For Zimbabweans, the mess of 2007/8 that drove many out of the country is now history.
✅local currency Inflation is below 5%
✅US$ inflation is almost zero
✅Zimbabwe has gone for 6 months with no Loadshedding
✅The ZiG is stable
✅The economy is growing at above 5% per year…
✅Lots of construction, mining, & agricultural activities.
Indeed the economy of Zimbabwe will be smaller than the South African economy for a long time BUT migrating to South Africa is not worth it for the average Zimbabwean… one is better looking after goats in his village than struggling in a squatter camp in Johannesburg.
President @edmnangagwa stabilised the Zimbabwean economy & set it on a growth trajectory…. We aren’t yet there, but there is certainly nothing to fear for someone suffering in a foreign land…
Comprehensive update on the REPATRIATION of Zimbabweans from South Africa… President @edmnangagwa runs an ORGANISED & EFFICIENT govt…
Kudos to Dr Tagwirei & Dr Tungwarara for chipping in to support the process…
The City of Cape Town @CityofCT assisted in a BIG WAY, kudos to them for stepping up!
@daddyhope You read things through the lens of trying to please everyone...this is saying the job has been done now let us carve this country..how much are we giving USA for critical minerals..how etc
