Sticking to a few companies (say 3–5 stocks) it might expose you to high risk seeking situation . But even if one or two go bust (assuming careful stock picking), the rest have room for infinite gains. It sounds oversimplified, but it's the Pareto principle at work.
I was reading a book called “MisBehavioural Economics” and found a term that applies to the mass influence of social media on our ability to have original ideas and make decisions consciously: “bounded rationality.”
how did you arrive at that number? is the projection based on any specific assumptions?
because for hims to justify a $50 billion valuation purely from the peptide business, i’d want to know what percentage of the market you’re assuming they capture.
the current estimates i’ve seen put the peptide market at roughly $2.2–$3.3 billion, so a $50 billion valuation would require some very aggressive assumptions about market growth, hims’ market share, margins and ultimately free cash flow.
that’s the part i’m struggling to understand.
