.@DaleJr's explanation of the benefits of a full 36 race points battle on this week's podcast is exactly how I try to explain it.
It takes something away from every. single. race. throughout the entire season. It's not just race 36. It takes away from race 12, 21, and 30.
Was at Chicagoland tonight. Notes:
-Happy for a sellout. Hope the oval lives.
-Dirty air, dirty air, dirty air. Its worse to see in person than on tv. Next gen has totally ruined my home track (Daytona) & is ruining others. The race was brutal. Why haven't we fixed this yet??
MAGA hates free speech.
They hate individual liberty.
They hate free market capitalism.
They hate limited government.
In every case, they want more government control over your life.
@SPEEDonFOX@NASCARONFOX@IndyCarOnFOX@KevinHarvick@wbuxtonofficial I had Earnhardt toys and posters before I can remember really sitting down and watching a full race. My grandparents were Elliott fans, so I would cheer for Dale because they didn't like him. First race I know I sat down and watched all the way through was the 2001 Daytona 500.
We’re all race fans, right? That means racing…green flag racing…right? Right???
I simply don’t understand the desire for less green flag racing. If that desire comes from low-quality racing, fix the car and/or package instead of creating two arbitrary pre-planned restarts.
I would LOVE to see a race go caution-free. It would be the purest form of the sport possible.
Carl Edwards said it best years ago. Cautions erase an advantage the leader earned. Throwing them for anything other than an on-track hazard is a gimmick. https://t.co/MKInyWxa1b
It is legitimately a tragedy that the 250th anniversary of this country's birth will be presided over by a president who is EVERYTHING the founders warned us against -- a partisan demagogue who fundamentally loathes the separation of powers and denies election results he dislikes
@justinmelillo@RyanNawrocki5 That was my first ever try at the 500. Was running a lucky P8 before power loss. My race had about 10 to go, and was under yellow when it went out. Got back in and nabbed P11 somehow. Grueling race!
