@MarkBagnallSurg Oh gosh yes I also do endoscopy over theatre and sadly colorectal MDT which I love 😔 I've been taking annual leave to try and scope but the lists are occupied by gastro trainees as they are gastro consultants lists. V challenging so I feel some kind of London immersion needed

Can you action that surgical trainees are failing to get training lists and CCT because of low endoscopy numbers. Please sort out endoscopy hubs and immersion!

It's a great skill we should learn but numbers/access should be closely watched and action taken if we cannot meet them.

@RomiNavaratnam As @mrnigeldsouza says, from our 3143 patients with rectal bleeding. No cancers or high risk polyps were missed with FIT -ve and flexi sig alone in patients <40y

We are working hard to understand the state of Colonoscopy training for Colorectal trainees.

Key findings from Colonoscopy training survey:

‼️only 30% of trainees have a dedicated training list

🆘 29% may have to extend CCT to achieve Colonoscopy numbers

Barriers to training👇

We are working closely with stakeholders to improve training in colonoscopy by identifying long term, sustainable solutions to barriers to training.
