mum of three, in Victorian maisonette with short lease, Aim to follow as many other struggling leaseholders as possible to keep pressure on for leasehold reform
Private rents ave £2,652 pcm in London. Median take home pay in London £1,852. This not only leads to inevitable hardship, homelessness and even family breakdown, but ultimately economic stagnation and collapse. Why’s Labour not introducing rent controls?? https://t.co/BLpzHDQBVl
I’m part of a fb group covering the local area in Greenwich. There is now widespread outrage at the scale of service charge increases. 40/50% increases in some instances. We’re reaching a point where many of these flats will be unmortgageable. A big issue for @UKLabour to tackle.

Never once had a problem, yet he managed to build something so dangerously defective it requires demolition?
And now has planning permission in both @jessphillips and @redditchrachel constituencies.
What will these local MPs do to protect their constituents?
.@Keir_Starmer gets it.
The financial abuse of working people by the leasehold system must end.
We stand ready to work with the next government to get the historic reforms over the line. Homes must be sanctuaries, not impoverishing debt traps. https://t.co/ztuxNdslzE
HOUSING INEQUALITY FUELS EXTREMISM
The leasehold system is pauperising the people.
An archaic, discriminatory system that should have been junked years ago, its preservation shames our democracy.
As PM, @Keir_Starmer must go where the Tories failed and end leasehold for good.
@Steveredwolf@Natures_Voice I agree. Buy a box with free fitting. Could RSPB stretch to giving a fitter team a job for a year or so to do this? Move their way around the country?
South Africa has unveiled a draft plan to reopen international rhino horn trade which could spell disaster for rhinos.
We're extremely concerned by the proposals and will urge the South African government to rethink.
Help us speak up for rhinos 👇

You couldn’t make it up . . . and you don’t have to . . . Thames Water board approved £150m payout hours before funding U-turn . . . can’t we get this lot in jail . . . ? I mean this is surely criminal isn’t it ? https://t.co/UjWidQUZpR
We have a nightmare , dreaming hasn’t worked . . .
But it doesn’t have to be like this , we can restore nature now , we must restore nature now . Nature doesn’t have a voice but we do , nature can’t act but we must .

Teachers, nurses - stop using agencies to get a job. Apply direct to the organisation. There are jobs out there. You are making some individuals very very rich and the money is depleting our public services.
@PaulFallows3 There’s no justification-LA public services are being bled dry by agencies - education, NHS, social care, children’s homes. All ‘helping’ apparently and creaming off profit so individuals have luxury lifestyles. Public £ stolen while l’holders have to pay it back?! Stop the rot!
@mykachu@PaulFallows3@cattwil Exactly, once it’s all gone, after a few years it’ll be history and no one will ever dream of bringing it all back ‘cos it’s so wrong.
