@davi_d_sfd @Guz_Substitute Another great example was the GrowlX-Levia at the start of the year. So many people dropped it after the ban-list, but it still proceeded to win OCE Nats and perform during the height of Hudie, and as of recent BT25 Perth Regees top 8. 2/2

@davi_d_sfd @Guz_Substitute Truthfully, part of the reason is with newer decks, people flock to them. Medusa hasn't lost speed, it's just the by-product of new shiny cardboard. Think of Jupiter. It didn't really get support in EX12, but is really strong, just no one plays it. Same with Hudie Control. 1/2

@Wandering_tobi @Guz_Substitute One event doesn't automatically dictate the entirety of a format, especially the first 3 when a set releases. It's to be expected newer decks appear, for instance B/G Imperial won a regee after AD1 set release, but where is it now? I'm happy Jupiter is showing up, about time :D

@davi_d_sfd @Guz_Substitute The primary reason is that despite so many decks get support and increased power, Medusa continues to have the tools to deal with them and has topped/won events during BT25. With Crimson Blaze, Progress and Trash/Security Manipulation, it still can stand toe-to-toe, even in EX12.

@sebaschavezg1 @Guz_Substitute So personally, Fish as a very fascinating toolbox pivot element that reminds me of Musketeers/Teapot, in that if you see everything early, it wins from 5, but if not you can pivot to a control/sticky board and with Yao tamer causing a stun, it bypasses "immune to digimon" effects

Just to highlight. The prediction tier list was recorded before any major competitive events, and due to personal circumstances (as well as my pc deciding to say sayonara) I wasn't able to get it out until now. Still, its a prediction list. Let's wait and see if we were right 😅

With all the news dropping with digimon, it's Christmas in (almost) July! All's to say, holy barnacles Batman, the Rosemon Burst is a whole new level of board control. Green decks may end up being the play for a while hahaha

This is interesting. They clearly learnt from the Sistermon Ciel shenanigans one can do, but what's really catching my eye is the assembly reduction. With EX9 Mirai, she is a 2 cost to play. Man I'm spoiled for this set!
