NY ELECTION ISN'T ABOUT TRUMP

It's not about Trump.

In New York. It's not about Trump.

It's about you. You, and how the governor is screwing you.

You and your family and your state.

In New York, the election is about the least popular governor in America and the most expensive and dysfunctional state government in the country.

It's about holding a governor accountable for five years of failure and fatigue. It's about understanding that the chaos in Albany is separate from the chaos in Washington, and while you can't do much about Washington, you can make a change in Albany.

And if you don't, you're going to keep getting screwed.

Your neighbors will keep moving away, your jobs will keep disappearing, your poverty rates will keep rising, your streets will continue to be unsafe, your schools will continue to fail.

Poverty? In New York City, it was 18% when she took over and it's 26% now, with similar numbers across the state.

Taxes? Business rates were 6.5% when she took over and they're 7.25% now, taking some $20 billion a year out of our employers' pockets. She has raised the MTA payroll mobility tax twice and folks in New York City are a combined 9.43% before local taxes are factored in.

Energy? Electricity rates have gone up 68% since she became governor. Natural gas prices have gone up 25%. And both of those are the result of state taxes and policies -- state taxes and policies signed into law by the governor.

Housing? Housing costs over much of the state have increased some 50% since she became governor -- compared to 30% nationally.

Education? Most expensive public schools in America, with middling outcomes in our best schools and horrific results for students in our cities -- and some of the lowest literacy rates in the country.

Health care? Health insurance is 40% more expensive in New York than in the rest of the country -- because of taxes and mandates signed into law by the governor.

Outmigration? During each year of this governor's term, more than 400,000 people have moved out of the state, far outstripping the number moving in. And those moving out have largely been tax payers and those moving in have largely been tax users.

Management? This governor had a wildcat strike in her prisons and two inmates savagely beaten to death by correctional officers and yet has done nothing to replace her failed commissioner or make the prisons safe for inmates and employees.

And the Tax Foundation says this governor's New York is dead last among the states when it comes to places to start or run a business.

And none of that is about Trump. All of that is about Hochul. It doesn't matter whether you hate him or love him. This is about her.

More of her constituents tell pollsters they disapprove of her than any other governor in the country. Her state is troubled and trending downward.

And it's her fault.

And it's your choice.

You can't fix Washington, but you can fix Albany.

Adults who have families and friends and neighbors get over themselves and their egos and go vote for the lessor of two evils.

No party and no person will be perfect. One choice is always better and one choice is always worse. Anyone who doesn’t understand that is being disingenuous.

Republicans are not the answer to your problems but democrats are the source of them.

If you sit home, you have no right to complain about anything that happens in this country because when push came to shove you choose apathy instead of agency.

And if you are a Christian, you should really think about what putting people in office who support open borders, abortion until the moment of birth and chopping off the body parts of children with our tax dollars means for you and your biblical worldview.

The excuses are so ridiculous. You should be grateful you live in a country that allows you to vote, to have a say in your government (no matter how imperfect you think that say is).

Perfection doesn’t exist in this life. Only in the next one.

In this life, all men will fall short of the glory of God so we have a duty to choose the lesser of the two evils in front of us.

And no matter what anyone says, there is an always a lesser evil.

The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) is run by a board of people who are appointed by our governor.

Naturally, Hochul has stacked our current APA so they accept/allow solar industrial complexes inside the Adirondack Park.

This is the voice of Najmeh Amini, a 23 year old accounting student, speaking from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In her voice message she says: «Be my voice. I am an innocent girl, a young woman full of hopes and dreams.»

Najmeh is one of the detainees of the January uprising .

She spent months in detention without a verdict, denied access to a lawyer of her choice and pressured during interrogation. In August, her trial was held at the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of «assembly and collusion» and «insulting sacred values.»

She said in her voice message that her death sentence was issued on September 16, 2026.

In her own words: «People, I only want justice and the chance to defend myself.» And this is her dream: «Before the rope ends my life, let me see my Iran prosperous and free.»

Be her voice and all of political prisoners, especially those at risk of execution.

If Flat Creek Solar had been built, the money committed to Pattern Energy (the current solar developer) from New York State would have gone to:

- The Canadian Pension Plan Fund
- ABP, the largest Dutch pension fund
- Australian Retirement Trust

Pattern Energy wasn't the company that shopped Flat Creek Solar to the landowners in Canajoharie, New York. But by April 1, 2026, the solar permit transferred into their hands, ensuring the over $500 million dollars that @NYSERDA would have paid out in the form of renewable energy certificates (RECs) made its way to Canada, The Netherlands, and Australia.

The NYSERDA revenue makes companies like Pattern more valuable to their pension investors. A long-term contracted revenue stream, straight from Albany, New York, reduces revenue uncertainty for a project.

And where does NYSERDA get the billions of dollars its promising to foreign solar and wind developers? Well, Albany has to get that money from somewhere. They get it from us, through taxes and our electric bills (delivery charge and SBC charge, among others).

The money you work hard to earn is being laundered through NYS taxes and electric bills to foreign countries in one of the biggest scams ever peddled on the New York public.

Obviously, New York State didn't want this solar permit to be relinquished. A lot of people lost a lot of money last week.

There are cracks in their money laundering foundation. Keep the pressure on.

We’re paying more for electricity so @NYSERDA can socialize the failed rollout of solar and wind across upstate NY.

The delivery charge and SBC charge on your electric bill are used as renewable energy certificates that NYSERDA promises foreign solar and wind developers.

Since commercial solar and wind generate such pathetic amounts of intermittent energy, NYSERDA needs to dole out hundreds of millions of dollars to these companies to insulate them from an open market.

And @GovKathyHochul pretends that hundreds of upstate NY villages and counties aren’t calling on her to dissolve ORES.

Could it be those same wind and solar companies are funding her reelection campaign?

Why does solar and wind get to deviate from the local zoning everyone else has to follow?

This belongs in a zoned industrial/commercial setting. It’s an industrial wasteland. This isn’t a “farm,” and that’s why all surrounding property values plummet.

You can’t decide one day to build a Walmart in your backyard in rural-residential zoning. So why is this allowed?

Money. There is such a disgusting amount of money flowing from foreign renewable corporations into county IDAs and town boards that the local zoning flies out the window. And that same money is flowing between New York State’s ORES and the multinational corporations it lets destroy our rural villages.

The green energy subsidies, credits, delivery charges, SBC charges, and total protection from the state insulate solar and wind from having to operate in an open market where they must follow the rules the rest of us have to follow.

That’s what happens when your state government has turned into a corporate-controlled oligarchy with foreign money influencing decisions coming out of the governor’s office.

Rural New Yorkers do not want ORES solar experiments in their towns.

This is the impact of one person, Violet Wade Martin, who has excellently covered the issue of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Adirondack Park.

That is the power of one person who is determined to save and protect their home.

Whoever is reading this today: do not be afraid to take photos and videos of solar and wind complexes, their environmental destruction, and rule-breaking at the complexes. Do not be afraid to post it. Do not be afraid to share your love of your home.

The more this information is shared online, the better the outcome for all of us.

Comment, write posts, write to your newspapers, take photos and videos, and go to all of your town board and zoning board meetings, where a lot of the evils begin. Unfortunately, many town board members have been paid-off by renewable companies. It's easy to see this if you sit in on the meetings.

It's OK to care. It's OK to not want to see your home, the rural history, the viewsheds, the farmland, and the wildlife destroyed.

Violet has worked tirelessly to keep those in the ADK Park aware of what's on the docket for their towns. And it's paying off.

Eagles and birds of prey get a lot of airtime as it relates to the carnage at solar and wind sites. But what about the bats?

Dead bats are found all over the ground below wind turbines. Why?

Turns out the pressure drop behind a passing blade bursts a bat's lung without them ever colliding with the turbine.

Whereas the birds found under the turbines sustain blunt trauma, broken wings, and broken necks, the bat bodies are littered all over the ground, peacefully.

A University of Calgary team led by Erin Baerwald decided to start dissecting.

As the article below stated:

"The team then necropsied 75 of the freshest carcasses in the field, and the pattern inverted. Only 32 of the 75 had obvious external injuries. But 69 of them, nine out of ten, had hemorrhaging inside the chest or abdomen: blood that had burst out of vessels and pooled in the body cavity. Under the microscope, lung tissue told the same story, with every one of the 17 bats examined histologically showing pulmonary lesions."

Solar and wind are torturing animals on a scale you're not familiar with. Why is that scale so big? It has to do with energy density. Since solar and wind generate such intermittent amounts of energy, they need a scale of land to even mildly "function." Along the way, the foreign companies make more money building at scale as well.

Tens of thousands of acres are taken out to build these ecologically catastrophic complexes.

Animal carnage is so bad that ORES knows to tell the developers they will have to "pay to mitigate" the deaths. As if money is going to magically resurrect these animals.

This is an evil, sick experiment being conducted on the wildlife of our state. I am disgusted by it. All who are responsible for the cover-up of its true environmental damage must be held accountable.

I won't rest until they are.

This sums up the environmental hypocrisy going on at ORES wind and solar complexes.

Since the @NYSDEC has been “shut out of the conversation” so ORES can steamroll our rural towns, this is what is happening to state endangered species.

In fact, ORES lets the foreign developers pay to “mitigate” the death of significant species, like the bald eagle.

Bald eagles and their nests have been documented at multiple ORES sites. I’ve documented some of them myself.

When locals submit to the ORES docket showing the eagle nest/eaglets, ORES redacts their own submission online to minimize the true environmental destruction accessible to the public.

Along the way, in the case of Alle-Catt Wind, the developer will pay $2 million to @Cornell to offset the projected 41 eagle deaths. What a great arrangement for Cornell, which also happens to be the same university that helps downgrade what’s considered prime farming soils for Mineral Soil Groups (MSGs).

Boralex, the foreign Canadian corporation behind Fort Edward Solar, sited for one of the last grasslands of its kind in New York State... is officially Brookfield Asset Management.

The acquisition is complete.

All of the solar and wind permits held by Boralex have seamlessly transferred to Brookfield without additional review/scrutiny by the state or the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Boralex requested that their permits transfer without additional review before the PSC... and of course, the PSC did exactly as they were asked.

The following "renewable" projects are now held by a newer and bigger foreign corporation:

Fort Covington Solar – Franklin County (250 MW)
Two Rivers Solar – Jefferson County (200 MW)
Newport Solar – Herkimer County (130 MW)
Greens Corners Solar – Jefferson County (120 MW)
Fort Edward Solar – Washington County (100 MW)
Diamond Solar – Herkimer County (60 MW)
Foothills Solar – Fulton County (40 MW)
Bald Mountain Solar – Washington County (20 MW)
Easton Solar – Washington County (20 MW)
Sandy Creek Solar – Jefferson County (20 MW)
Sky High Solar – Washington County (20 MW)
West River Solar – Saratoga County (20 MW)

That comes to 13,000-15,000 acres of New York farmland, designated habitats, endangered species, and water sources that went from one Canadian corporation to another.

Brookfield Asset Management, where Canada's current PM, @MarkJCarney, previously served as a vice chair (and is routinely questioned by his own parliament for continued ties to Brookfield), is one of the largest investment firms in the world.

Boralex went door-to-door to convince landowners to lease, telling them they "know the land and will do right by it."

Boralex no longer exists. And the cycle continues.

We are transferring our best resources, land, water, and history to foreign countries under the guise of "green energy."

In case anyone is confused: for two years, the residents of Copake have left comments, publicly, on the ORES docket making it crystal clear they do not want Shepherd’s Run Solar. This includes their own Town Board representatives.

Now with the wetlands and floodplain issues that haven’t been properly addressed by Hecate Energy, the town is yet again doing everything it can to BEG ORES to throw out the permit.

As their signs said when I went to the Copake hearing this past January: our town, our choice.

That’s how it used to work in New York. Albany detests our towns having home rule, so they destroyed it when they snuck ORES into the 2020 budget bill.

Now we have to plead our case in a little comment section on the ORES docket, which I will link to below.

Please read the over 1,100 comments and tell me you don’t feel something for your fellow New Yorker. ORES must be dissolved.
