@briangobosox I think what's relevant is the President saw stocks down, bonds down, oil up and made a call to one of his favorite reporters and made up a lie to manipulate markets. While he's very good at manipulation, this is not strength and Iran sees it for what it is.

@streetwize Why is it insane? Trump has said from early in the war the Iranians were "begging for a deal". Does it look like they're begging for a deal three months on? It's all market manipulation. Oil was up, stocks were down, bonds were down, and so he made up a fake phone call.

@briangobosox I see it a bit differently, he's so scared of higher oil prices, higher bond yields and lower equities he doesn't even want Israel to defend itself after a missile attack. He's immediately posting ceasefire and peace deal comments just to keep a lid on things.
