More bullets were fired at Jewish synagogues last night, on Shabbat, including Shaarei Shomayim in North York.

I am horrified and outraged. I joined them earlier this week for Purim - a joyful celebration of the strength and survival of the Jewish people. To see their place of worship targeted in this cowardly, antisemitic attack disgusts me.

These photos are of the gunfire damage at The BAYT in Thornhill, which also happened last night.

Toronto Police will have an enhanced presence outside places of worship, but it’s long past time for real action to build a city where that isn’t required. Where hateful acts like this are prevented, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

A Jewish father was beaten in front of his daughter in Montreal, Canada, yesterday.
These are images reminiscent of dark periods of Jewish persecution.
This is appalling.
