@TerraceStandard Queen Elizabeth visited Terrace, BC in 1959 - Queensway Drive commemorates her.
She was Queen all of my life and while some sovereign dictates were not friendly to Indigenous Peoples she typified leadership at its highest level. Dignity, calm and with value.
Hey, that’s me 😄. @NNIarizona Resource Centre and Database has so many valuable resources - written and video - that help Nations think through tough constitutional questions.
Former B.C. MLA Jack Weisgerber dies at 81
Jack had his 'political' moments trying to address Indigenous issues but he was up-front and very personable in approach.

Church Apology: Hold our Hands High to those who are in Rome and those who fought for decades on recognition, truth and now efforts for reconciliation.

I support Good Health and safe Communities!
I believe in the direction and leadership of Dr. Bonny Henry for BC.
I support and encourage all citizens to get their vaccinations as soon as possible and follow safe practices.
Then, and soon, our lives can become 'more normal'.
Great sadness in losing a strong, proud and very humble man and leader. Delgamuukw elevated his name and his people.
TFN Treaty Society pass condolences and strength to the family and House Group.
My heart is with the Gitxsan today upon news that renowned Simoyget Delgamuukw (Earl Muldon) has passed.

So too will his legacy.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – thoughts:
5.Canada has recognized steps must be taken, they must be deliberate and they must be for a purpose. Let us take this Special Day and help to forge those steps.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – thoughts:
4.But, the sun is rising again, there is recognition that we have gone through a horrible period of this Country’s History. And our People persevere, they stand tall and they help to re-build what should have been all along.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – thoughts:
3.I get depressed that so much energy has been put forward by families and Indigenous leadership to show the wrongs, to seek acknowledgement and fight for justice. Only to hear denial and disregard.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – thoughts:
2.I feel sorrow that parents lost a young one, never to be told how or why, in many cases, not even given the chance to cry at the funeral.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – thoughts:
1.I can only imagine ones that were taken from their families and from us as Indigenous people – they never had the chance to do what I can do: Hunt, fish, walk the land, love, raise a family, see their Grandchildren grow.
