can someone who is in charge of Ronin explain exactly how someone uses Ronin governance today?

Like a step by step guide about it works and how we bring forth ideas and conduct productive group discussions? How we formally bring ideas into a proposal.. how we bring a proposal into a vote.. how we bring a vote into an implementation..

So much time has gone by with no developments in governance from Sky Mavis (the ones making the promise) that my thoughts drift towards the realization maybe Sky Mavis doesn't want $ron holders to have any power or any ability to make decisions.

Why has it taken so long to build this out (there are no signs of it being built out) when it is one of the ADVERTISED, FUNDAMENTAL UTILITIES of the token in the design of the whole thing!

That fact is magnified when the other advertised utility of the token, staking, WAS REMOVED -- also differing from the advertised design of the whole thing!

I get that things can change, but with enough time and enough wiggle room -- enough is enough. This is a non-negotiable requirement the COMMUNITY DEMANDS.

Clear instructions and facilitation of governance NEEDS to be available ASAP. How network treasury decisions should be discussed, proposed, voted on, documented, implemented is A CRITICAL REQUIREMENT for this project.

As Ronin has advertised over and over, a big part of $ron's utility is in its voting power. It's part of Ronin's mandate and what they've committed to.

We need action on it NOW.

Q: Why is there a 90-day window before access is cut off permanently?

A: Maintaining legacy, infrastructure indefinitely creates increased dev cost and fragments the network. A 90-day window provides active users with ample time to transition their accounts.

Q: How are we ensuring users actually see this announcement? Why not email them directly?

A: We have already deployed our primary announcements across owned media channels. A coordinated wave of direct email reminders and push notifications will be sent directly to affected users throughout the 90 days to ensure everyone gets the message.

Q: How do I access my Ronin Stash assets after completing the migration?

The REAL Inside Story of the $620M Ronin Hack: How Greed and Control Paved the Way for North Korea

We have to go back to 2021. @AxieInfinity is the most successful NFT game on the planet. The $SLP token is hitting its All-Time High , and a massive wave of new players is flooding into the ecosystem daily.

Following the launch of the $AXS staking contract which boasted mind-blowing APR rewards Sky Mavis (and specifically co-founder Jihoz) began issuing veiled threats to crypto whales who had invested heavily at the top. The message was clear: if anyone dared to unstake and dump large quantities of tokens, their transactions could be frozen.

Unsurprisingly, many investors instantly lost confidence.

Jihoz took it a step further on Discord, publicly targeting Yield Guild Games (YGG), who held millions of dollars worth of $SLP and $AXS at the time. When YGG began moving assets out of the ecosystem to secure their profits, Jihoz released statements on X and Discord( its now deleted) that many viewed as outright extortion. He threatened to ban accounts and wallets from the game and the $RON in interfaces if they "harmed the ecosystem" which was just code for "selling in bulk."

To turn this threat into reality, Sky Mavis secretly changed the rules overnight. They granted themselves the authority to sign transactions on behalf of the "Axie DAO" under the guise of managing immense network traffic (and keeping a tight leash on whale transactions).

By forcing this absolute, centralized power over user transactions, they inadvertently handed hackers the keys to the kingdom.

Originally, the network required 9 validators to approve transactions. The hackers (Lazarus Group) had already compromised 4 validator keys. Under normal circumstances, a hack would have been mathematically impossible. However, because @SkyMavisHQ was so obsessed with control and greed, they never revoked the temporary, single-signature access they had granted themselves via the Axie DAO.

By compromising Sky Mavis/ @Ronin_Network , the North Korean hackers instantly gained access to that 5th crucial validator key. With 5 out of 9 validators under their control, the threshold was met, and stealing $620 million became child's play.

Centralization didn't just ruin the trust; it literally funded the heist.

I logged back into @AxieInfinity today for the first time in years, just to see if anything had changed. To be honest, I am completely baffled by how, in almost seven years, they still haven't managed to build a healthy, self-sustaining economic loop. We are talking about what was once the most successful NFT game on the planet.

Today, there are over 11 million Axies in existence, and the floor price has tanked to under $0.50. The game is drowning in hyperinflation because fundamental economic levers are being completely ignored:

1. The Missing NFT-Burning Mechanism (The "Sacrifice" Feature)
To rescue the floor price, there needs to be a radical reduction in supply. Why is there no system where players have to sacrifice (permanently burn) 3 to 5 floor Axies to visually upgrade their main Axie or buff it for PvE? The same goes for a wear-and-tear mechanic in the MMO (Homeland): Axies used on land plots should degrade over time. To repair an "aged" Axie or craft high-end gear, other NFTs should have to be recycled or destroyed. NFTs need to become consumable goods but that is highly unlikely to happen.

2. Ronin is Missing Its Potential
The Ronin chain has failed to establish itself as a relevant DeFi or meme coin hub. What it actually needs is genuine cross-game utility: Every single new game launching on the Ronin chain must integrate Axies. Your Axie should become a companion in Pixels or other RPGs. In return, game developers who implement this should be heavily incentivized with massive POD rewards. Instead, Sky Mavis is stubbornly following the exact same playbook that led to the initial crash.

3. The "Axie Terrarium" Problem: Wealth for the 2020 Elite Only
The new Terrarium feature perfectly illustrates the core issue: it almost exclusively rewards players who got in before 2021. Why would a newcomer bother participating? You would have to drop tens of thousands of dollars just to have a shot at b- $AXS rewards. And even then, it’s barely worth it because you only get 30% of the rewards by default - unless you hold the utopian, outrageously expensive Mythkeeper status.
Ultimately, Terrarium is just like Land Staking: a makeshift tool designed to prevent further sell-offs, while in reality, it only concentrates wealth within a small elite from 2020.

The Bottom Line: The developers are forgetting the most crucial lesson of their own history. It wasn't the Mythkeepers who pushed Axie to 2.2 million Daily Active Users (DAU) it was the everyday Lunacians at the grass-roots level . It's a shame, but it looks like we’re going to watch the slow-motion decline play out live, just like the last years. @Ronin_Network $ron

The next 24 hours and the path ahead.

1. In 10 hours Ronin will go into hibernation for ~ 10 hours as it upgrades into an Ethereum L2.

2. No user/player activity is required for the migration.

3. Once Ronin is back up, inflation will be cut dramatically. Treasury inflows will be up from gas fees, more Ronin marketplace fees, and 90 M RON from the allocation formerly used for staking rewards.

4. Projects that have registered for Proof of Distribution will start earning RON rewards based on the activity they bring to the network. Projects must be registered in order for the system to start crediting it with $RON.

Proof of distribution will very publicly show which teams are performing and succeeding. Programmatically, without me or Sky Mavis having to curate and tell you which projects are doing well.

5. I expect all key metrics across the chain to start to improve. You get what you incentivize. Proof of distribution and bRON/bAXS are all systems that are net new to crypto and have never been rolled out at scale like we are doing now.
