@huskfan22 Easier to show up with 75 miles 1 hour 15 minute drive vs 232 miles (3 hours 38 minutes) on a weekday. But that is more of a local game, I am talking about. I know there are no perfect answers…
Not sure this is what is best for High school post season in Nebraska . District games now consist of mostly empty gyms and blow out games. I think it was best to have local teams playing district games in sold out gyms!
@Ty_155 You might be right with opening round games, but half full games with Pep bands in attendance was the norm in the first round several years ago (more community involvement) and I cannot disagree about all the youth games…
There’s No Place like Nebraska, and there’s no fanbase like you Husker Nation.
Help us Pack PBA on January 7th as we take on Indiana and retire Husker legend Jordan Hooper’s jersey!
Why do some sports parents sit alone?
- No Drama
- No Complaining
- They do not like Hearing Ignorance.
- No Badmouthing Coaches & Officials.
- They often just want to relax & Enjoy the Game!
Be a part of the solution.
Not the problem.
PARENTS: When you blame other things (officials, coaches, conditions, circumstances, teammates) for the situation your son or daughter is in, then you're essentially teaching your child how to be an excuse maker.
@Tyler_Greever@CoachHammond3 Was grateful to sit in Paul Sanderford’s office and visit about offense with Jeff Walz many years ago. Handed me a stack of plays etc. I knew Jeff was going places! #Respect
Sometimes coaches don’t get enough credit
HS Coaches have:
• 3-4 teams/levels to manage
• Around 50 athletes to take care for
• Near 100 parents to please
• 7-10 admin to report to
• 5-10 assistant coaches
High school coaching is becoming an extremely difficult profession!
Not going to lie, I am very proud of our girls, we have made strides in last two weeks. Cannot ever questions these girls heart! #culture Who gets Bulldog Chips tomorrow? Find out…after practice
@blazerhawker@SuitUpVarsity@CoachLand81 Was leading scorer with 19 ppg but Filley held me to 6 points in that game at Lincoln High. They ran 10 guys at our 5 guys. Down 6 at half and they kicked us 75-44 in second half. They went on to win title in 1980!
PLAYERS: "You don't ever judge how you play by how you shoot the ball or how many points you score. You always judge how good you play by how your effort and whether you play to the best of your ability and you executed.”
~ Geno Auriemma video from @Jammer2233
PLAYERS: It doesn’t matter if you're wearing your practice jersey or wearing your game jersey, you should have the same amount of pride in what you're doing and who you're representing. Be consistent in your effort, attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment!!
