Dolly Parton was asked some absolutely wild questions by Barbara Walters in 1977 and somehow Dolly never lost her composure.
The interviewer kept focusing on her looks, clothes, hair and image.
Dolly’s response was basically: you can laugh at the outside all you want… I know exactly who I am underneath it.
That’s not just a celebrity handling an awkward interview.
That’s confidence. And watching it today, I understand even more why people loved her. ❤️
What begins as a peaceful suburban gathering slowly turns into a nightmare when one woman suddenly recognizes a man she believes she has seen before.
She tells her husband that the man is a butcher responsible for unimaginable atrocities during the war. But nobody believes her. They assume it’s her trauma speaking. She insists she knows that face. She knows exactly who he is but the accused man realizes something terrifying: she remembers him and once he realizes his identity might be exposed, the entire gathering changes.
What happens next turns a quiet evening into a fight for survival, as the man does everything he can to silence everyone who now knows too much.
The scariest part? She was telling the truth the whole time.
Hal Jordan simply defeated Sinestro because of how their specific emotional fuels interact and Hal’s unmatched capacity for willpower. Not that the Green Lantern ring is inherently stronger than a Yellow Lantern ring.
Both rings have an essential equal baseline energy outputs on the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. Sinestro's entire power source relies on intimidation, which makes his weapon systematically vulnerable whenever he clashes with Hal Jordan. Hal wins because his defining psychological trait directly counters Sinestro's arsenal. The harder Sinestro tries to weaponize fear, the more it triggers Hal's indomitable willpower, actively supercharging his green constructs.
So when Hal beats Sinestro, it’s not because his ring is simply stronger but it’s because Hal was the stronger Lantern in that particular fight. Winning and being defeated is always determined by the current fear and will power.
When the world’s tightest security 💂 meets four magicians and a playing card. 🪄
🎬This is the classic Now You See Me 2 (2016) security-checkpoint sequence:
The TVA allowed Loki to exist because his existence alone wasn’t considered a problem, it was the choices he made that mattered.
The real issue came when Loki escaped with the Tesseract during the Avengers’ time heist, creating a branch that wasn’t supposed to exist.
But that raises a much bigger problem with the TVA’s entire system: If the TVA was monitoring the Sacred Timeline and pruning branches before they could grow, why was Loki’s existence tolerated for thousands of years while one small deviation suddenly made him a “variant”?
The rules of the TVA have always been more complicated than they first appeared.
I found out my husband had secretly saved $40,000 while I was panicking about how we'd afford our baby.
I'm 6 months pregnant, and I handle all of our finances.
I knew exactly how much we had coming in, what we owed, and how little we'd have once I went on maternity leave.
The numbers terrified me.
I kept telling my husband I was scared we wouldn't manage without my full salary.
He watched me panic.
He watched me lose sleep.
He watched me cry over money.
And every time, he told me:
“We'll be fine.”
I thought he was being careless.
Then one night, he told me he had a surprise.
He showed me the account.
$40,000.
I was relieved.
Then I asked him the one question that changed everything:
“Why didn't you tell me?”.....
My friend “forgot” her wallet at dinner for the fourth time.
The first time, I paid.
She promised to send me the money.
She never did.
The second time, another friend covered her.
She said she’d pay them back.
She didn’t.
The third time, she pulled the same thing.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I left my wallet at home.”
She promised to Venmo us.
Nothing.
So the fourth time it happened, I knew exactly what was coming.
We went to dinner with four friends.
She ordered the $54 steak.
Then two cocktails.
Then dessert.
When the check came, she suddenly reached into her purse.
Her face changed.
“Oh my God…”
I already knew.
“I left my wallet in the car.”
Nobody said anything.
She looked at me.
“Can you get me this time? I’ll pay you back tomorrow.”
I don’t think the Green Lantern ring is simply “stronger.” Sinestro had the Yellow Lantern ring, but Hal had something that matters even more an insane level of willpower and years of experience.
The real question is, if both had equal mastery of their rings, who win?
i just rewatched avengers: endgame and something feels different now that doomsday is coming…
what if tony's sacrifice wasn't just the ending of the infinity saga, but one of the biggest reasons the mcu is now facing doom? 👀
there has to be a connection.
Funke Akindele announced The Four: No One Fights Alone in August for a December 11 cinema release.
That is not “too early.” That is how you run a machine.
While some people are still arguing about last year’s numbers, she is already lining up the next one…writing it, directing it, producing it, locking a stacked cast, and starting the conversation four months out. That is the difference between hoping a movie lands and building the conditions for it to land.
Haters will ignore all of that right now. They will scroll past the announcement, the cast list, the story about four women fighting for someone they love, the Odu-to-city setting, the cultural layering. They will stay quiet while she does the actual work.
Then the movie will do what her December films have been doing: pull crowds, break another record, and force the conversation. That is when they suddenly appear.
Suddenly it is “just dancing.” Suddenly the box office is “PR.” Suddenly years of writing, producing, directing, assembling casts, and owning the festive window become one dance clip they can screenshot and mock.
They never talk about the part where she consistently delivers commercially while carrying the weight of being both the face and the engine. They never talk about the pattern of announcing early, executing, and still having to fight people who only respect the result after it is undeniable.
Watch the movie when it drops. Or don’t. Just stop reducing a whole operation to the one thing you think you can dismiss.
December 11. The Four. She already started. They will pretend they didn’t see it until the numbers come in.
Mechanical web shooters take the “Spider” out of Spider-Man. If he can’t actually produce webs, he could literally be any other bug-themed hero.
Organic webs will always be better, IMO.
Let Peter naturally produce the webbing, but make it unstable and difficult to control. Then he uses his genius to create mechanical web-shooters that refine, shape, and direct the webs.
