“In the case of social failure... the consolation consists in the belief that one’s inability to attain the lofty goals to which one has aspired is not to be ascribed to one’s own inadequacy, but to the defectiveness of the social order.”
-Ludwig von Mises

We are officially endorsing @WillyRice for SBC President.
Willy Rice’s love for the Lord and the local church, for Baptists as a Baptist people, and his courage, conservatism, conviction, and humility have been on clear display over many years in SBC life.
He has earned our support and our vote, and we encourage all Baptists gathered in Orlando to offer the same.

@RealPatSawyer@Rick_White@DefiantBaptist@jamesjkerr Here are a few to start:
How does this person define the complementarianism they subscribe to?
Does that definition align with scripture?
Does the definition seek to glorify God first or does it seek the line of disobedience so they can “stay on the correct side of it?”
The divide in the SBC is not so much between conservative and liberal (on paper) but between strong men and weak men.
The weak men accommodate--and then abdicate to--liberalism, all the while protesting that they signed the paper.
But they doth protest too much.

Pleased to announce that my LNC convention dress code proposal has officially been moved and has the necessary cosponsors to be voted on and considered by the LNC before next week!
If all goes according to plan, the LP will enter convention with a basic business casual dress code policy in place for official proceedings.
Yes, that also means the Chair or a designee would have the authority to remove blatantly unserious or unprofessional behavior from the convention floor during official business sessions.
We are so back.
@SteaknShake if you’re listening…
Add waffles or biscuits made with butter and served with real butter spread. Let people add steak burger meat to the hash browns.
@BonifaceOption is onto something. All we want is a hearty breakfast without two days of regret to follow…

This philosophical dilemma should be studied
Woke Christians attacking ICE and opposing mass deportations:
“You can’t do that! That’s mean! Jesus said to welcome the stranger and love the sojourner!”
The stranger and sojourner:
I just tipped 20% on a bottle of water I grabbed out of a mini-fridge myself.
I brought it to the counter.
The cashier didn't even scan it.
He just pushed a button and spun the POS terminal around.
The screen suggested 20, 25, or 30 percent.
For a moment, I considered finding the custom tip option.
But there was a line of people behind me.
The cashier was making direct, unblinking eye contact.
I folded under the pressure of a digitized guilt trip.
I paid $4.80 for a Poland Spring.
I basically gave a teenager a dollar to legally supervise me purchasing hydration.
He didn't even offer a receipt.
He just spun the tablet back around and looked away.
I said thank you.
I thanked him for letting me give him extra money.
I am part of the problem.
@WillyRice This is a big deal. If the SBC is made up of mostly southern churches, doesn’t it make sense that the annual meeting be in the South on a regular basis?

Stores, schools, hospitals--they don't work because you changed the people
You can't change the people and keep the system, the system was made for the people
“The question isn’t ‘Who is a pastor?’
The Bible and the BF&M make that clear: Only a biblically-qualified man.
The question is whether we, as a local association, will stand up in the midst of a watching world and say it with our chest?”

@CatoInstitute@stephen_richer Moderate libertarian here. What if we just let the conspiracy theorists pass something like the SAVE act and prove once and for all that the elections aren’t being swayed by fraud?
Seems like a win-win, and an easy one based on your data!
