The result is now 100s of thousands of people are disabling the alert on their phone, so whenever there is a real emergency that the thing is actually meant for, they won't know about it.
We really are governed by total idiots.
So it turns out that this stupid alert to not use a BBQ because it's hot, has done more harm than good.
First the emergency services were overloaded with 999 calls from people reporting their neighbors for having a BBQ, thereby blocking callers with genuine emergencies...
Secondly, vulnerable women in abusive relationships who have a hidden second phone, handed to them by support networks and charities, have been put at risk because this alarm went off, revealing the phone to the abuser in the relationship....
@KemiBadenoch Conservatives put them in four star hotels and have them free iPhone!!!
I'm sorry @KemiBadenoch you're a complete hypocrite. We won't forget how the Tories have destroyed our British culture.
@JeremyClarkson If people only measure their wealth and life quality by the length of time they queue at an airport maybe once a year, they're to unintelligent to vote. ๐
@TheSun This is Net Zero for you. Heating that doesn't keep you warm, hoovers that don't clean (max wattage limit), banning condenser tumble dries. Now we have fridges that don't stay cold. All to save a few grams of Co2.
@Iromg Remember, Starmer knocks off work Friday evenings to spend time with his family. We might hear something next week when he bothers to clock in for work ๐ค
