@ericbahn Nope, have a rotation of 3 amazing sitters and factor in the cost when trip budgeting. It's always sad leaving my bud, but he loves his time with his buddies.
@helloitsolly One speaks to the pain of the difficultly of driving testimonials, the other speaks to the pain of not getting enough testimonials.
Which one is your audience feeling more?
I’d also be curious what it looks like to tie driving testimonials to leads or revenue…
@jappleby@Airbnb If they had done this for the average airbnb user, drove ugc content, and created a true viral moment they could have educated consumers on how much Airbnb has there back in these situations.
Instead they threw money at a influencer and drove relatively cheap impressions.
@jappleby@Airbnb I think your take is basic.
Just getting eyeballs does nothing. 0 of the people that viewed that video just discovered Airbnb or learned anything new. Cool, they drove impressions. But calling it wildly successful because of a views and not because of real metrics is silly.
@jappleby@Airbnb Use some of the millions in ad spend, use their social reach, have that tie into a broader influencer campaign, PR, tons of ways for a creative marketing team to drive eyeballs.
@helloitsolly To be fair I think he does make a ton of money, I think he was working insane hours early in tho.
I think the bigger issue is that the market for this type of service is extremely saturated and difficult to actually execute on.
