As peculiar as Boomers and Gen X can be (and, thus, the jokes that come to them), watching 80s/90s shows always reminds me of the inconceivable amount of shock, loss & grief people experienced, between crack, AIDS, & gang violence. Life really tore a lot of people/families up.
