@coinbase @brian_armstrong Does the reserve managed by BlackRock at BNY not earn interest? The reserve is 1:1 for every USDC minted, which is from the collective effort of others. This is how you are able to offer interest on USDC deposits. Essentially Circle is acting as an investment manager.
